Our Wedding

As many love stories begin these days, ours started on an app. We have Hinge to thank for our relationship. Our first date was dinner and drinks - dinner was Ariane’s idea, and drinks was Allison’s, speaking to both of their characters. Allison was quite shy, but Ariane made sure that she left a good impression. After a few more dates of movies, dinners, bowling and more, we became an official couple. All of this happened before “you know what”. But once COVID came, we started spending more and more time together, realizing that we should move in together. This was made especially clear due to the fact that we had a sweet dog son, Waffles, who needed more space than a one bedroom apartment and a small boxy studio. So we moved in together into our first grown up two bed two bath where we live today. We cook, watch movies, laugh, dance and live a great life in this home and knew we wanted to get married. Our engagement was twofold. Allison was the first to propose. After a rainy but fun day at the Minnesota State Fair, we went to Manny’s Steak House for a delicious dinner. Allison was so nervous to ask but did it in her very Allison quirky way at the bar with a goofy grin (thankfully Ariane said yes). One month later it was Ariane’s turn. Unbeknownst to Allison, Ariane had re-done her grandmother’s ring and intended to use it to propose to her. On a trip to New York, Ariane and Allison went to a rooftop bar in Brooklyn to enjoy some snacks and a drink. One of their celebrity crushes, Joe Jonas, happened to be there with some friends. Ariane mentioned to him that she planned on proposing to Allison, which he was thrilled about. When Ariane returned to the table, she popped the question (Allison said yes of course). They later found out that Joe had been filming the whole thing, and was cheering them on the whole time. A drink or two later, they left the bar to go to the next location where a ton of Allison’s greatest New York friends were waiting to surprise her. Definitely the best engagement story we’ve ever heard, if you ask us. We’re excited to continue our life together and for y’all to join us in celebrating our relationship and joining of our families!

Travel

Take a hike for some wonderful views of Los Angeles including the Hollywood sign. It is a moderately tough hike and takes around 45 minutes to complete.

Runyon Canyon Park

One of our favorite spots. If you want some “Hollywood” fun that’s not on Hollywood Blvd, this is the place for you. Simpsons, studio tours, Jurassic park and more. We love the Mummy ride and the Waterworld show!

Universal Studios Hollywood

This is one of our favorite spots to grab a quick bite. There's a variety of vendors at the Farmer's Market from pasta and empanadas to seafood and pizza.

The Original Farmers Market

You can hang out at the beach or rent bikes to stroll between Santa Monica and Venice. There's no better way to see the water!

Santa Monica Pier

Venice Beach is home to a more laid back boardwalk filled with street vendors, skate parks, and the famous MUSCLE BEACH.

This is another one of our favorite farmer's markets in LA. It's only a short walk/drive from Hollywood as well as MAMA SHELTER and the TOMMIE HOTEL. They're only open Sunday's, so if you're taking a late flight out of LAX, be sure to stop by and pickup a few local favorites such as dips, fresh bread, empanadas and much more.

Hollywood Farmers’ Market

This place has great Italian food and homemade pastas.

Terroni

This downtown spot has some of our favorites from Sticky Rice (thai) to Eggslut (breakfast) and Wexler's Deli. This is a great option if you're with a big group and trying to keep the cost down.

Grand Central Market

Simply the best burgers. Try Esquela next door for some great tacos and burritos.
