Our Wedding

Our story began with us being the best of friends at Illinois Wesleyan University. We were inseparable, but life had other plans. Arianna moved back to Las Vegas after her first year, and she swore she'd never speak to Sam again. Less than six months later, Sam took his first trip to Las Vegas to visit her. It took just seven days for him to declare to her that he was going to marry her. He went another six times despite the pandemic, and each trip, it got harder and harder to leave Arianna behind. After a year of traveling to Las Vegas, Sam made the big cross country move. It took months of planning and saving, but he took the leap and landed in Arianna's arms. We went everywhere together in Las Vegas, and spent lots of time together with Arianna's family. We were so sure, that we even got pre-engaged promised to one another. After a year there, we took a trip to London and Paris to watch Christopher Tin record his new album at Abbey Road. While in London, we took in the sights, sounds and shows, and loved every second of it. We took a quick hop across the channel on the train, and spent two days in Paris. On the first day in Paris, Sam had arranged a photoshoot. We got all dressed up, and we headed over to the Palais Garnier, the Paris Opera House. There, as the photographer prepared to take the first photo, Sam got down on one knee, and he asked Arianna to marry him. We were now officially engaged! After a few more months, we moved again, this time to Houston, Texas. We adopted two kittens, Apple Jacks and Rigatoni, and we started our business, Doorstep Music Lessons. Now, we're ready to take the next step in our lives together.

👗 WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE FOR LADIES?

Ladies, please wear a formal dress in pink or burgundy. You may consider a church hat. Please note, after the ceremony and photography, there will be a brief (30 min) second line (jazz parade) between the church and the reception. Ladies are encouraged to bring an additional pair of walkable shoes if not already wearing flats. Expect cobblestone or brick streets.

👦🏼 What is the dress code for children?

Please dress up. Boys, nice plants, shirt, clip on tie appropriate. Little tuxedo would be super cute. 👔 Girls, pretty dress. 👗

☀️ WHAT WEATHER SHOULD I EXPECT?

Low to mid 80s during the day. It may rain. Lows mid-60-70s. Expect high humidity.

⛪️ WILL THE WEDDING BE INDOORS OR OUTDOORS?

The ceremony and reception will take place indoors. Portions of the photography will take place outdoors. The second line will take place outdoors between the church and the reception.

🎼 WHAT KIND OF MUSIC WILL THERE BE DURING THE CEREMONY?

Sam will be composing the music for the mass, featuring choral singers, organ and brass. There will also be several favorite hymns, which the congregation and the choir will sing together.

🚗 IS THERE EASY PARKING AT THE CEREMONY OR RECEPTION?

Yes. There are numerous parking lots in the French Quarter, all of which are paid. There will not likely be street parking within several blocks of the wedding. If you are staying at the Omni, you do not need a car. It is walkable. If you are staying at the Wyndham, I recommend taking an Uber. If you plan to explore outside the French Quarter, you may wish to rent a car.

🎥 I CAN’T ATTEND THE WEDDING IN PERSON. WILL THE CEREMONY BE RECORDED?

Yes. The entire ceremony and a highlight video will be made available at a later date.

Yes! Please tag us. We kindly ask that you do not take photos/videos during the ceremony, as we would like you to spend the moment with us. ﻿High-quality, professional photos and videos of the wedding including the ceremony will be made available after the event.
