In August of 2016, Quintan and Ariel met on an online chatroom. Quintan joined not long after Ariel did and they quickly became friends. They chatted day in and day out for many nights before they decided to meet face to face over a video call. They video called almost every night. That's when they quickly realized this friendship could be more. Only a few months later on April 19, 2017, they decided to make it official. Though they could only see each other through a video call, it was all they needed to continue their relationship.

On May 4th, 2018, Ariel, her mother Tiffany, and her grandmother Betty made the long trip down to Galveston, Indiana to meet Quintan and his family for the first time. This was Quintan's junior prom weekend and Ariel had found the perfect teal-colored dress to wear. They spent the weekend together dancing, going to a trampoline park, and singing karaoke in the car.

On June 2nd, 2020, Quintan made the journey up to Mound, Minnesota to move in with Ariel and her family. After long distance for 3 years with lots of going back and forth, they thought it was finally time to take the next step. Quintan and Ariel knew it was time to overcome this hurdle in their relationship. After the first few months, they quickly settled into a new life together, in person.

While on a family trip to the US Virgin Islands and almost 5 years of being together, it was time for the next step. Quintan proposed at Cinnamon Bay in the U.S. Virgin Islands, St. John, on February 17th, 2022 while surrounded by family. He had been hiding the ring from Ariel since November of the previous year. Though Ariel had a suspicion it was going to happen, it was still a magical moment that she got to share with Quintan and her family.

When arriving home from the Virgin Islands, there was a special surprise for the couple. Ariel's grandparents' dogs had puppies on Christmas and they were ready to go to their fur-ever homes! After many months of convincing Quintan and her mother, Ariel got the first pick of the litter and chose the only girl and firstborn. The new addition to their family is Sally, a spunky Shih-Poo Lhasa Apso puppy with lots of energy. She's got her mother's attitude and her father's stubbornness. Sally is the perfect little addition to their small family.

On February 11th, 2024, Ariel's brother Neal gifted Quintan his crested gecko. Quintan has since named him Master Chief and he has been a rescue from another person. He still has lots to get used to but is thriving in his new home. He loves his watermelon-flavored food and hiding in his coconut ball.
