Arielle and Byron met in the summer of 2015 at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital in&nbsp;Johnstown, PA.&nbsp;Byron had started intern year of his&nbsp;surgical residency there in July, and Arielle had just started her 3rd year medical school rotations there ... her first rotation being surgery!

Their first date was in mid August, and they kept in touch over the next two months when Arielle had away rotations. When she returned in October, they quickly became inseparable and officially started dating on&nbsp;October 25, 2015.



Over the years, they became very close, and Arielle matched a residency spot in&nbsp;Family Medicine at Conemaugh Hospital also.&nbsp;Near the end of Arielle's intern year and Byron's 3rd year of residency, they went to visit Arielle's family&nbsp;on Memorial Day weekend. Byron asked her to marry him after taking her on a walk around the pond at her childhood home on&nbsp;May 27, 2018.&nbsp;

Ceremony Time

Please arrive at the venue promptly at 3:00 PM for the Wedding Ceremony

Busing from the hotel venue is provided for guests; please see the transportation tab for more information on Busing and how to reach the venue by car. Keep in mind that the hotel checks in at 3PM and and the buses will leave around 2:20/2:30PM from the hotel. You may need to either store your bags at the desk or see if the hotel can accommodate early check in.

Cocktail Hour

A cocktail hour will begin immediately&nbsp;following the ceremony, at approximately 3:30PM.

Reception will begin around 5:00 PM&nbsp;in the barn. Seating will be pre-determined. Dinner will be served buffet-style.

Dancing and festivities will ensue following dinner. Games and other activities are available on the venue grounds.&nbsp;



Last dance and last call will occur at 9:45PM.&nbsp;Event will end at 10:00&nbsp;PM, and busing back to hotel will be provided. See transportation tab for more information on busing schedule.

If you are arriving to town early and would like to meet up with other wedding guests on Friday, August 16th (the night before the big day), we recommend Bill&nbsp;Bateman's Bistro in Shrewsbury, PA. It is within walking distance of the Hampton Inn in&nbsp;Shrewsbury.&nbsp; Feel free to drop in at any time, we do not have specific party reservations.

Busing to and from the venue&nbsp;will be provided. There will be two buses making trips.&nbsp;Please be prompt in making the buses on the wedding day (8/17).&nbsp; You must make the last bus time indicated for each departure or find your own way.

Busing

We have a block of rooms reserved at the Hampton Inn, Shrewsbury, PA. It is about 15-20 minutes from the venue. Please reserve a room by July 27, 2019&nbsp;to get our block rate of $120-126 per night. Group code is PDW and name of Placke/Dodson Wedding. You may book online or by calling the hotel directly.&nbsp;&nbsp;Check-in begins at 3pm and check out is 11am. Early arrival is not guaranteed. If you are arriving on Saturday to the hotel and planning on using the buses, you may need to ask for early check in, or have your bags stored, since the buses will leave around 2:20/2:30PM.

Hampton Inn Shrewsbury

Please do not follow your GPS&nbsp;to the farm venue. It will take you down a back dirt road that is difficult to maneuver.&nbsp;

Directions from Baltimore/York:&nbsp; From I-83 take Exit 36 onto MD-439. Turn LEFT onto MD-439E, continue 6.8 miles. Turn LEFT onto MD-23N, continue 4.3 miles. Turn RIGHT onto Jolly Acres Road, Pond View Farm will be 0.7 miles ahead on the RIGHT



From I-95:&nbsp; From I-95 take Exit 74 toward MD-152. Turn LEFT onto MD-152, continue 14.2 miles. Turn RIGHT onto MD-146, continue 1.7 miles. Turn LEFT onto MD-23N for 7.7 miles. Turn RIGHT&nbsp;onto Jolly Acres Rd, Pond View Farm will be 0.7 miles ahead on the RIGHT.



From Bel Air, MD:&nbsp; Start on MD-24N. Turn LEFT onto MD-23W, continue for 4.8 miles. Turn RIGHT onto Baldwin Mill Rd, continue for 1.3 miles. Turn&nbsp;LEFT onto MD-23N, continue for 10 miles. Turn&nbsp;RIGHT&nbsp;onto Jolly Acres Rd, Pond View Farm will be 0.7 miles ahead on the RIGHT.
