Our Story

We don't want to forget a single moment of our big day! While our photographer will be snapping the big moments, we would love to see it from our guests perspective too! Feel free to pap away but if you could be so kind as to share the pictures with us after the big day too, it will be much appreciated. Accommodation 

Unfortunately, our venue only has a really limited amount of accommodation available however the good news is there are plenty of options locally and a little farther afield. We have included a handful of the cheapest options, closest to the venue for guests travelling in for the wedding. For those looking for a little more luxury, there are plenty of options available on sites such as Booking.com and Trivago that fit a range of budgets and tastes. Happy Booking!

Lovely little pub accommodation situated in the heart of Sturminster Newton. All important food and booze is served at the pub however there are shops close by should you need them. Only 4 minute drive away from the venue, this is the closest, affordable option available however with only 5 rooms available, you'll need to move quickly as its guaranteed to fill up quickly. Check In Times:In: 12pmOut: 10:30amHowever the website explains that they may be able to accommodate later and earlier check in and check outs.

The Swan Inn

Another lovely pub accommodation situated really locally to the venue, only a 4 minute drive away. The rooms here area really quite nice, especially for the cost (around £65 p.p p.n). Free on-site parking is available and I believe that breakfast is included (may want to check this though!).

The Crown

Perfect place if you are looking for cheap and cheerful, just somewhere to lay your head down for the night!! Not the prettiest of rooms but all include the all important post-wedding breakfast to soak up the dreaded hangover! A little further afield but still really close, only 9 mins drive away from the venue. Room prices vary from £65 for a single to £90/100 for a double however, if booking this one, I would look online for deals rather than go direct as we found it for £77 (double room) through Trivago.

Transport

Although this taxi company isn't strictly local to Sturminster Newton, it is by far the nearest option, only 9 minutes away from the venue.

Chart Taxis Dorset

The closest railway station to the venue is Gillingham Dorset. Its around an 18 minute drive to the venue itself. As detailed above, there are taxi companies that would be able to accommodate, which according to online prices work out to around £20-£24. Depending on timings and the amount of people using this option, there may be an opportunity to taxi pool to cut guest costs so please do let us know in your RSVP if you will be open to this. There are bus routes available between the town and the station if needed but it is quite a journey, around 45mins or so.

On-site Camping

For the campers amongst us, there is availability to camp onsite. Vans are welcome too!! PLEASE NOTE: They are only available on the Saturday evening! So get down early on the day to get pitched up before the wedding starts. It works out at only £12 per pitch with the camp field just a stones throw away from the venue (crawling distance!) There are toilets and showers available for campers too, to make life a little easier. If you are looking to camp out, please contact either Ashia or James in advance to book in your spot.

Food is such a big part of any wedding day and we have tried to cater to all with the chosen menu. When choosing your all important meal of choice, please opt for only one of the following menu options as we unfortunately are unable to mix and match between options. Please update your RSVP with your chosen meal and let us know of any further dietary requirements we need to be aware of. To update your RSVP, please click on our RSVP page, click update RSVP and click through to the final question where it provides multiple choice of each option available. We're aware that it is cutting it fine but please may we have all responses back by the 21st of July to allow the caterers time to prepare.

Wedding Menu

Being a wedding guest can be so costly, between accommodation, transport and the cost of a new frock it all adds up. The vast majority of you are coming a very long way and we are so incredibly grateful to you for making the effort to join us. Please do not feel any pressure to give any gift, your presence on our special day is more than enough. We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Wedding Gifts

Party Time

Dancing and drinks start from 7:30pm and run till 12pm when the venue closes. Apart from a quick pit-stop to refuel on pizza, we will all be wearing out our dancing shoes on the dance floor until carriage's at 12! The bar opens from 7pm and sadly will be a cash bar so don't forget your wallets. There's a whole range of drinks available from rum to tequila to beer so everyone should be able to get the tipple of their choice.

Evening Guests 

For those specifically attending the evening, there is no need to RSVP Dress Code: Semi-formal so dress to impress but no need for the tux Arrival Time: Cake cutting and first dance will be from 7:30pm so arrival at 7pm will give you plenty of time to say hello and grab a drink Gifts: Absolutely no need for gifts, your presence at our big day is more than enough for us We can't wait to dance the night away with you all!
