Ashlee and A.J. spent the majority of their childhoods living in Scottsdale, Arizona only a few mere minutes from one another. Often frequenting the same stores, events, and restaurants, and even attending the same church for several years, and yet their paths never crossed.

Ashlee, for more than 7 years, served with A.J.'s mom, Audrey, at their church and became close friends with her. Through God's perfect and undeniable timing, Audrey invited Ashlee over to spend more time with her family, introducing Ashlee and A.J. to one another. Slowly but surely Ashlee and A.J. began to spend more time together on their own, and started dating in October of 2023.

What started as friendship quickly turned into love. As they began to truly get to know one another the truth became clear, there was no denying that God had brought them together. He was everything she ever prayed for, and she was everything he ever prayed for. And on both accounts, so much more.

Through their relationship, they discovered the beauty of their commitment to one another. They found strength in choosing to love and fight for each other daily. So when A.J. proposed to Ashlee in January of 2025, she happily said yes. Having someone who truly understands you and wants to learn more about you is a profound gift. Although life may not always be easy, they trust that through God's strength and guidance, they can position their hearts in a spirit of servitude and overcome whatever challenges come their way.
