Our Wedding

Jake and Ashleigh first met in 2018, through mutual friends, Sammi and Matt. After getting to know each other a little better in fall of 2019, Jake and Ashleigh quickly became friends, bonding over their love for coffee, food, travel and all things nerdy. Around 2021 they put their stubbornness aside and started officially dating. It didn't take long for them to realize their friendship had blossomed into a beautiful relationship that they wanted to last forever. In November of 2023, in the presence of Ashleigh's family, Jake finally proposed to his Hufflepuff, in the sweetest and nerdiest way possible...and of course Ashleigh said yes to her Ravenclaw! Jake and Ashleigh can't wait to celebrate their wedding day with their family and close friends.

Meredith is Ashleigh's cousin. Fun fact about Meredith and Ashleigh is they are often mistaken for sisters and sometimes twins.

Sammi is a close friend of Ashleigh and Jake. Ashleigh and Sammi met each other in 2018 at Hobby Lobby, and became friends quickly. Ashleigh and Jake actually met through Sammi and her husband Matt.

Sarah is a close friend of Ashleigh. Sarah and Ashleigh met at Hobby Lobby in 2020, and have maintained a close friendship the last several years. Ashleigh and Jake even got their kitten, Padfoot from Sarah.

Registry

A staple for weddings in Pittsburgh is to have a cookie table. Beginning around the time of the Great Depression, in western Pennsylvania, family and close friends would chip in to bake and provide cookies, as many families could not afford a wedding cake, this quickly became a tradition. We would love our friends and family to participate and experience this tradition. If you are able and willing to bring 2 dozen of your favorite cookies to our wedding, we would truly enjoy including you in this part of our special day. The only thing we do ask is NO NUTS, as we do have some major nut allergies in both of our families, if you do include nuts in your cookies, please label them clearly.
