Our wedding will begin in the church and continue outdoors by the lake, so we recommend wearing something comfortable for both settings. August in central Vermont is typically sunny with low humidity and an average high of 75°. Think light, breathable fabrics and styles like flowy dresses of any length, tailored sets, or button-downs with slacks.

The reception will be held on a grassy lawn with some uneven areas, so guests wearing heels may want to bring a change of shoes, or go barefoot at the lake. If you plan to go out on the water, feel free to bring a swimsuit or a change of clothing, as dressing rooms will be available.
