The Museum of Fine Arts is one of the largest art museums in the United States and has a collection of over 80,000 works of art. It is located in the heart of Houston's museum district, so you can also check out the Museum of Natural Science and several other museums while visiting this part of town. We also recommend walking around Hermann Park and the McGovern Centennial Gardens while you're here!

Waterwall Park is a sight to behold! This is in Uptown Houston, so while you're here you can shop til you drop at The Galleria or walk around Memorial Park if that's more your vibe - we recommend checking out the Eastern Glades!

We walked our dogs here every day for years so of course it made the list! This is an active way to view the Houston skyline. You'll also the Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern, which is definitely worth a tour if you have time. They usually have an art installation as well as a historical tour, so it's whatever you're into!

If sports are more your thing, we recommend enjoying a Rockets game at Toyota Center! This is located downtown, but within walking distance of East Downtown. In EaDo you'll find several restaurants, bars, and breweries. Our favorites are Rodeo Goat for burgers and 8th Wonder for a drink!
