Ashley and Morgan met thanks to two mutual friends in June 2016.&nbsp; One morning while looking for a way to spend the day, Ashley’s high school BFF Kate Foy and now-husband Ryan, reached out to Morgan to see if he was around to hang out. Ryan knew Morgan from their time working together at the Redding Country Club, and they ended up going for a ride around Candlewood Lake on the Perry family boat, where the conversation turned to Morgan and whether he was in fact, single and ready to mingle. At Ryan’s suggestion and Kate’s endorsement, it was determined that Morgan and Ash should meet and just might hit it off. After some texts and phone calls, Morgan agreed to trek into Ashley’s neck of the woods for a first date in the Queens, NY neighborhood of Astoria. They shared fried alligator bites and dinner at one of Ash’s favorite spots: the Creole restaurant Sugar Freak which still stands today. Rather than getting to know each other over a series of additional dates, Morgan spent the next several weeks at Ashley’s side while she recovered from surgery that left her couch-ridden. They watched movies, played board games, and generally began to fall for each other. When she recovered enough to begin using a wheelchair, he planned their first date with full accessibility in mind: they spent hours wandering the Norwalk Maritime Aquarium, followed ironically - but to both of their amusement - by a shared insatiable craving for sushi which they shamelessly fulfilled afterward at a nearby Japanese restaurant. In October, shortly after making things official on August 7, 2016, they took their first trip as a couple for Morgan’s 26th birthday: a long weekend at the Perry family house in Ludlow, Vermont. This would be Ashley’s first meaningful introduction to a place that had long held a special spot in Morgan’s heart and would go on to serve as a treasured, repeated destination throughout their relationship in the years that followed. Their time in Vermont would be spent skiing, hiking, and taking day trips to Burlington, and later, would be where Morgan proposed. Now, it’s where they will be married!&nbsp;&nbsp; Morgan and Ashley want to thank their friends and family for joining them in this special place where they grew their love.

We are overjoyed at this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to celebrate our marriage with family and friends in one of our most cherished places. Whether you are attending every event or will be joining us in spirit from afar, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being such an important part of our lives!

Welcome Bonfire	Isham Family FarmFriday, September 13, 2024&nbsp;7-9pm Attire: Casual, fit for a bonfireExamples: Things like jeans, flannels, sweaters, cute leggings, and sun dresses&nbsp; The wedding weekend officially kicks off on Friday, September 13, 2024 with the welcome bonfire! The bonfire will be held at Isham Family Farm, the same location as the reception on Saturday. All guests are welcome to join us starting at 7pm for a casual evening of chatting and making s’mores around the fire. Water, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages will be provided. Parking is available on site in the grass lot next to the Big Red Barn and there will be signage when you arrive to make sure you know where to go. We’ll say goodnight around 9pm.

Wedding Day ShuttleDoubleTree by Hilton Burlington&nbsp;Saturday, September 14, 2024 There will be a roundtrip shuttle service provided from the bridal hotel, DoubleTree Burlington, to Isham Family Farm. This is open to all, whether staying at the hotel or not, to ensure everyone has a safe and fun ride for our wedding day. There will be ample parking in the DoubleTree parking lot for those coming from other accommodations. The shuttle will depart from the DoubleTree Burlington and will drop off guests at the ceremony site. The shuttle will park there for the duration of the ceremony and will drive guests to the barn across the road for the reception afterward. Ceremony &amp; ReceptionIsham Family FarmSaturday, September 14, 20243-10pm Attire: CocktailExamples: Fall colors like rust, maroon, goldenrod, brown, and deep red are welcome but not necessary. While style is important, shoes should be able to walk on soft grass, packed dirt, and concrete, as well as be comfortable enough for an evening of dancing!&nbsp; 3pm - Arrival/ParkingUpon arrival to the property, everyone will be directed to park across the road from the barn, near where the ceremony will be held. The ceremony site is also the drop-off location for those taking the shuttle. In case of rain, all guests should instead park in the grass lot next to the barn. Rain or shine, there will be signage and parking attendants when you arrive to make sure you know where to go.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 3:30pm - CeremonyWeather permitting, the ceremony will be held outdoors on the hilltop across the road from the barn, beginning at 3:30pm. After the ceremony, guests who drove themselves will return to their cars and be directed down the hill to park in the grassy lot adjacent to the barn. Those taking the shuttle will return to the shuttle and be dropped off at the barn. 4-10pm - ReceptionThe reception will follow at the barn with hors d'oeuvres, dinner, dessert, and a selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages. We can’t wait to dance the night away with everyone! Cocktail Hour &amp; DinnerWe are over the moon to have the food for our wedding 		provided by Farmer’s Market Pizza! For cocktail hour, there will be a decadent grazing table along with complimentary beer, wine and mixed drinks provided. Dinner will be a variety of wood-fired ciabatta style pizzas along with a salad bar. The pizzas will be made on site using their mobile brick-oven. Upon special request, pizzas can be made gluten-free and vegan to accommodate all guests with dietary restrictions. DessertDessert will be provided by Ben &amp; Jerry’s complete with 4 flavors of ice cream to choose from, including a non-dairy/vegan flavor, as well all the fixings for making sundaes. There will also be “Whoopie Chips” provided by Farmer’s Market Pizza along with tea and coffee.

Please wear whatever makes you comfortable - we know this is the day most people will be traveling home! We’ll be hosting brunch Sunday morning at The DoubleTree open to all. Swing by and say goodbye to us before heading home anytime from 9am - 12pm. Whether you have time for only a quick coffee or can spend the whole morning with us, we would love to see you! Coffee, Tea, Juices, Bloody Mary's &amp; Mimosas will be available 9am - 12pm. A buffet style brunch will be available from 9:30am - 11am.
