A shaggy-haired, backwards hat wearing kid sat on a bench waiting for a rehearsal to start, when a wide-eyed, red-headed rascal asked if she could sit next to him. The rest is history! But here's some of it! π Ashley and Wes met in 2014, with the help of Amber Linde and Kerri Morrison casting them both on a musical improv team, The Double MINts. After being friends for about a year and half, things changed! Ashley and Wes were in Des Moines, Iowa for an improv festival when the team decided to go to a club. The club was empty, but they danced like it was a packed house. Ashley and Wes had been hanging out, but Wes worked up the courage to ask Ashley if she would want to go on a date. The two went bowling at the now defunct Southport Lanes, and Wes serenaded her while the song "Such Great Heights" played on the speakers. Ashley is a great bowler, so she won of course, but maybe that's when Wes won her heart. π₯° They dated over the summer of 2016, but then became "facebook official" on August 9th, 2016, when Ashley's niece Keira said, "Well, why not, Aunt Ashley?" Ashley said, "You're right" and almost 6 years later, a month before moving to Los Angeles, Wes dropped down on 1 knee in front of friends and family, at the end of hosting The Rascal Hour with Ashley and Wes, and popped the question! They have graced the dancefloor at tons of weddings together, taken lots of fun trips, performed and hosted shows together, and moved across the country with their sweet Nala pup in 2022 to chase their dreams in LA. While they have a new city they call home, they hold on to their friends tightly, and have so many wonderful people that they love around the world. Without them and their support, Ashley and Wes wouldn't be their best rascal selves that they are today. Ashley and Wes can't wait to see you on the dancefloor! π₯³
