A: Sintra is a quiet, serene city located 30 minutes outside of Lisbon. Downtown Lisbon (the heart of the city) is about 10 minutes from the Lisbon airport. Public transportation, ubers and taxis are available in both cities. Everyone speaks English.
A: Friday 10/4 at 1PM, and end on Monday 10/7.

A: Option 1 is to stay in Lisbon for a few days prior using provided transportation to Sintra. The couple is arriving on 10/1 and staying at the Brown’s Hotel Downtown Lisbon for a few days prior the Penha Longa Resort in Sintra for the wedding events.
A: Option 2 is to stay in Sintra at the Penha Longa Hotel for the entirety of the wedding weekend if you prefer less moving around and more relaxing.
A: Send an email to rc.lisrz.reservations.agent@ritzcarlton.com referencing “Heller-Rabinowitz wedding” to receive a discounted room rate at Penha Longa Hotel where the wedding pre-events will occur.
A: If the block is full, we advise you to stay at a hotel walking distance to Casa Dos Penedos (the wedding venue) and Uber to Penha Longa Hotel for the welcome party and jeep tour events.
A: See itinerary page. We designed an itinerary that allows our guests to experience the city of Lisbon on Friday and the city of Sintra for the remainder of the wedding weekend.
If you prefer to do things at your own pace, we have listed our favorite things to do in both cities under the “Explore Portugal” tab.
A: If you come into town early and are traveling with the couple from Lisbon to Sintra on Saturday, there will be one bus that is departing at 10AM to Penha Longa Hotel to check into the room block.
A: If you are staying at the Penha Longa Hotel: no additional transportation is needed, as this is the pick up/drop off location for the Jeep tours, the welcome party and shuttle services to/from the wedding venue.
A: If you are NOT staying at the Penha Longa Hotel, please be prepared to uber to the Penha Longa for the jeep tours and the welcome party.
A: The recommended hotels under “Stay” are 10 minute ubers from all the locations mentioned above, with some walking distance to the wedding venue, Casa Dos Penedos. Uber to and from these locations are about 7 USD.
A: The temperature in October ranges from 76°F to 65°F. Since Sintra is in the mountains, it can be windy and sunny with dry heat. The pools at the resort will be open.
