Ashley and TJ met while enjoying a night out with friends in Mount Pleasant, MI where they both attended Central Michigan University. The two officially started dating in May of 2017. After graduation, they started traveling together as much as possible. It started with a weekend road trip to Chicago and then headed to Philadelphia to see an Eagles game - GO BIRDS! Their first big trip together was flying out to Colorado to visit TJs cousin Tony. Immediately they both fell in love with the state and continued to visit over the next few years, longer and longer each time. After talking about it after every trip, Ashely and TJ finally decided to pack their bags and move out to Colorado in the summer of 2021. For the first year or so they called Golden, CO their new home while trying to decide if Colorado was a long-term move. Then in January of 2022, they adopted the worlds cutest little lab mix named Zion and decided to give him his own backyard. In February of 2023 they purchased their first house in Arvada, CO. The two now spend their free time enjoying the mountains, both on hikes and while relaxing on their deck with Zion. They wouldn't have it any other way!

We highly recommend staying at the wedding venue itself! You will be fully immersed in the mountains, while walking distance to the Ceremony and Reception. This is also a great option for those staying with a large group, as multi-bedroom condos are available. The Suites are also a great option if you prefer more of a traditional hotel room feel. Use code 'WED' when booking for 10% off. Tip:&nbsp;Reserve condos 'F' or 'H' as these have been renovated most recently. A shuttle will be provided from the Holiday Inn for the Welcome and After parties.

As one of the most haunted hotels in the United States, The Stanley is a landmark in Estes Park! You may recognize the hotel from its feature in the movie&nbsp;The Shining&nbsp;- stay away from Room 217, or Dumb and Dumber!

Located at the base of Rocky Mountain National Park, The Holiday Inn Estes Park offers guests convenient access to the outdoors and is just a few minutes away from Downtown Estes Park. A restaurant and bar are on-site. A shuttle will be provided from the Holiday Inn for the Welcome and After parties.

Denver International Airport

The closest airport to Estes Park, Colorado is Denver International Airport (DIA/DEN).

Denver International Airport (DEN) is approximately a 1 hour and 20 minute drive to Estes Park. We highly recommend renting an SUV or reserving a shuttle as Ubers and taxis will not drive that far.

If you do not want to rent a car, we recommend booking the round-trip shuttle between the Denver airport and your Estes Park lodging through Estes Park Shuttle.﻿

Getting around Estes Park

Once in Estes Park there are no Ubers, please plan accordingly. There are local 'taxi' companies who can be utilized.

Things to do in Estes Park

Spend time in the beautiful Rocky Mountain National Park where TJ &amp; Ashley first fell in love with the state of Colorado. While you'll encounter some snow the typical RMNP crowds won't be around this time of year! Some 'winter friendly' hiking recommendations are: - Deer Mountain (approx. 6 miles)- Dream Lake (approx. 2 miles)- Mills Lake (approx. 5 miles) Because it's December keep in mind there will be snow (potentially a lot of it at higher elevations) and cold weather. This may mean you can get away with hiking boots and micro spikes or you may need to rent snowshoes! Take a walk by the creek in Golden. This was where TJ and Ashley used to walk multiple times a week when they lived in Golden. You can head in the direction of the canyons or walk into downtown Golden from the path.

Visit the Golden Mill for market experience with a handful of different restaurants to try and a beer tap wall with plenty of options for everyone.
