We recommend booking an Airbnb in the Aldea Zama area. There are also Airbnb's in La Valeta however that area is not as easy to get around (it's newer so not all of the roads are paved).
 If you prefer, you can book a hotel on the beach in the hotel zone. The Friday night dinner will be on the beach at Coco Unlimited Hotel. The wedding on Saturday will be in the jungle at Kima, transport will be provided to/from Kima. ***Please see the Travel/Schedule Tab for hotel suggestions***

In December, Tulum will be the on the same timezone as the East coast (Eastern Standard Time)

We've spent about 3 months in Tulum and have felt very safe

We recommend scooters (if you'd like to rent one we have used Tulum Scooter Services several times, and we have a 10% discount code to book with them, please reach out to us for the code) or feel free to Google add'l options. If you DON'T want to rent a scooter or have a bigger group you can either rent a car or take a taxi. Bicycles are also an option, many Airbnbs provide them. Taxis' can be a bit overpriced, especially if you're by the beach.

Credit Card. You can also take cash out at ATM's. Tulum takes pesos & dollars. Most of Tulum is on par with American prices.
