It All Started With A Swipe!

Ashley and Shannon met the “new fashion” way. If you have not figured it out by now then no one will tell you how. They shared their first date the way they’ve spent many Saturdays to follow; brunch, Target, Bath and Body Works, and then dinner. Neither wanting to end the date decided to extend it…into forever.

31Oct2023 Ashley proposed to Shannon at the North Carolina Museum of Art with a spooky theme. Halloween being Shannon’s favorite holiday Ashley decided that it would be the perfect way to express her love and commitment in front of Shannon’s siblings and a couple close friends.

14Nov2023 two weeks after Ashley proposed and two years after their first date Shannon proposed to Ashley inRiviera Maya, Mexico. Under the guise of Shannon’s birthday/the couples anniversary trip, Shannon planned a private gazebo proposal and dinner for their final evening. Despite the many questions of whether Shannon would cancel the planned proposal since she’d been proposed to she in short said “Ashley deserved a proposal all on her own”.

Airport Transportation

Round trip airport transportation will be coordinated by our travel agents. Please make sure you have sent Mandy and Anna your flight information to and from Cancun. Refer to your Axus app for transportation information.

New to Flying or Using a Different Airline Than Usual For Booking? We strongly suggest signing up for a flight program if you have not done so already for your preferred airline so that you can earn miles and benefits for your travel. This will sometimes allow you to choose seats for free or receive earlier boarding. If you don’t fly often this can still be very beneficial. If you are choosing an airline different from your usual airline consider status matching with the airline you will fly with. Can I bring a guest/date?

You are welcome to share your trip and experience with whomever, however our ceremony and reception are reserved for those whom are listed on the invitation.

Is there a dress code? If so, what should I wear?

Yes. Please see the ‘Attire’ tab when it is available to view our recommended color palette and outfit suggestions!

Are kids allowed?

The resort is adults-only therefore children are not permitted. We hope you understand and enjoy the nights off!

Can I take pictures?

We are having an unplugged ceremony so please no phones or cameras during the actual ceremony. The greatest gift you can give us is being fully present as we say “I do”. We have both professional videographers and a photographer to capture this moment for us in its entirety. Anytime after the ceremony you are welcome to capture memories.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes! The perks of an all-inclusive resort is that the drinks will be flowing all night.

What should I do if I am unavailable to attend?

You will be missed! If you cannot attend our wedding, please indicate your regrets on our RSVP tab so we can plan accordingly. Also, please be sure to alert our travel agents.

Do I need a passport?

Yes. A passport is required to enter Mexico.
