Our Wedding

Chaz and Ashley met on a Carnival Cruise 3 and a half years ago, on July 24th, 2011. They were both spending the week with their families. Ashley first remembers seeing Chaz on the upper deck with his brother Zach. Based on their size difference, she never thought they would have been brothers! Chaz first remembers seeing Ashley in the Casino bar on the boat. She was wearing a yellow dress and drinking a glass of wine (with her pinky up of course.) He claims she was staring for what seemed like an eternity. Coincidentally, both families liked country music and enjoyed watching Cooper's Run, a country band made up of a husband and wife from New Zealand. While watching them perform, someone let out the famous O-H!. Every one responded I-O. Chaz's brother asked Ashley, "You are from Ohio?" Here we found out that the two families lived a half an hour a way from each other. Ashley began talking to Chaz. She asked how old he was. He said he was 20! (He was really only 19, but was given strict orders by his brother to say that he was no younger than 20.) Ashley and Chaz had an immediate connection and hung out the entire cruise from then on out. When they got home from their family vacations, they continued to meet....and well the rest is history!

How We Met

Chaz proposed on December 28, 2014 while both his and Ashley's families were again on another cruise together. On the first day at sea, Chaz wanted to pop the question and made a plan with the cruise director. He came up and interviewed Chaz. When he asked Chaz, "Are you celebrating anything this week?" Chaz responded, "Well I think we are going to be celebrating an engagement." He got down on one knee in front of a whole deck of people and asked Ashley to marry him. Of course she said yes!

Brittany has been my best friend since the day she was born. Having a sister so close in age is such a blessing to have. We have so many great memories together, both as sisters and best friends. I am so excited and lucky to have her stand by my side.

Nicki is my mini-me. We have very similar personalities and always get along. There is a 7 year age difference between us, but that has never mattered. I am so proud of her and have loved watching her grow up. I am so lucky to have her as my sister and best friend.

Courtney is my baby sister! Although she most definitely is not a baby anymore! I have loved watching her grow up and mature into the person that she is today. She is an amazing student and an amazing volleyball player. I am so excited to see where her career takes her. I am very excited to have her by my side.

I think that God spared my dad having another daughter, so he gave me Aly as a cousin instead! Aly is truly my 4th sister! We grew up together and have so many great memories, my favorite being playing spice girls and having sleep overs. I am so excited and blessed to have her stand my side on my wedding day.

Laura is my best friend from high school. We met freshman year playing on the freshman volleyball team at Padua. We remained best friends since that time! She is an amazing person and an amazing friend. I was honored to be a part of her wedding, and I am honored to have her be a part of mine!

Lauren is also my best friend from high school. We met playing volleyball at Padua! She is such a smart and funny person! She is a wonderful friend and always supports me! I am so lucky to have her as my best friend and bridesmaid.

Mara is my best friend from college. We lived together for 4 years in college. The "Padua" girls were all pretty inseparable at Walsh :) We made it through nursing school together and have had some fun "crazy" times. She is the sweetest person I know. I am so excited that we have continued our friendship, and that our boys have become friends too!

Zach has been my best friend, and some one that I have always looked up to. It was a blessing to have a big brother that guided me in the right direction.  I hate that Zach and Karli live far away, in Athens OH, but Ashley and I always have so much fun visiting them and we can't wait to become an Aunt and Uncle.  I hope Zach practices his Best man speech, because he has a lot to live up too....

Dave was my best friend, room mate and team mate during my time at BW. Dave and I have had so much fun together, some of my favorite memories include: tour de franzia team mates, 1 on 1 pong matches, trips to 107,and playing the role of Dave's wingman( I'm still on the search to find Dave a woman!).

Stefan was one of my room mates junior year of college.  Stefan and I became friends instantly and had a lot of fun together.  When i first met Stefan he was engaged to, his now wife, Hailee.  I remember all of the planning that went into his wedding and I am excited to now have him apart of my big day! At his wedding (as pictured), I caught the garter...and I guess it worked cause I am next!

Josh was my room mate and team mate  at Ashland University.  Josh and I both transfered our junior years, but have kept in touch and are still great friends.  I may not see josh often, but when I do, we pick up right where we left off.... with a cold one.

Brett was my best friend throughout High School.  Brett and I have spent countless hours watching OSU football games, playing xbox and billiards.  Brett is also a National Champion and Urban Meyers right hand man, he may have the most bling on his hand come wedding night.

I have always treated RJ like a younger brother.  RJ was one of my biggest fans throughout High School and College and now I am a fan of his!  I am proud of the athlete and young man he has become and can't wait to watch him his next 2 years of High School. #QB1

Matt is Ashley's cousin. Ashley never had a brother, but I think Matt is just like a brother to her. We have had the opportunity to hang out at family functions and have had a lot of fun! I am so glad that he can be a part of our special day.

We have secured a block of rooms for Saturday night. The rate for blocked rooms in $95.00. There are also a few rooms secured for Friday night for anyone interested in staying Friday night as well.

There will be a complimentary shuttle, shuttling hotel guests to and from the reception hall.

Travel

Following mass there are many restaurants and bars around the Reception venue. There is a Two Bucks directly next to Pazzo's Grand Ballroom, and there is a Wing Warehouse slightly south on Broadview Road.
