Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?
RSVPs will be collected online through theknot.com, as well as either through text (260-312-0830) or email (tamara4.olson@frontier.com) to Tammy Olson (mother of the bride).
What date should I RSVP by?
We ask that you send in your RSVP no later than April 21st.
What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues? Are they wheelchair accessible?
The wedding ceremony will be held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church (7710 E. State Blvd. | Fort Wayne, IN 46815).
The reception will be held at the St. Joseph Community Hall (6033 Maplecrest Road | Fort Wayne, IN 46835).
The church has entrances that are wheelchair accessible, as well as an elevator between the lower and upper floors of the building.
The reception venue is wheelchair accessible.
Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Both the ceremony and the reception will be held indoors.
Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?
There is a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites--the information for this can be found under the "travel" section of our page on theknot.
What is the dress code for your wedding?
The dress code will range from semi-formal attire to dressy casual attire. No blue jeans please!
Suggested attire includes:
Women - sundresses/day dresses, skirt and shirt, cocktail dresses, dressy shirt/pants, etc.
Men - light dress shirt with khaki or other lightweight slacks; jackets and ties optional.
Are there any colors or styles you'd prefer me to wear?
For the most part, wear whatever you are comfortable wearing! We ask that you refrain from wearing white/cream/very light pink shades, as well as jeans or athletic wear.
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
Due to the max capacity of our reception venue, we cannot go above a certain number of guests. Your invitation will indicate if you will be given a plus one. However, as we receive RSVPs we will have a better picture of how many people will be attending. You may be offered a plus one at a later date when we can ensure that it won't put us over max capacity.
Am I allowed to bring my children?
If your family includes children, they will most likely be included in your invitation. Your invitation will indicate how many people are being invited in your "party". For example, if you and your partner share two children, you would be a party of four. If you were to choose to have only 1, 2, or 3 of these individuals attend, you will indicate this in your RSVP, as this will allow us to determine the number of spots we have open to offer for single guests to bring a plus one.
What type of food will be served at your wedding?
Upon arrival at the reception venue, simple hors d'oeuvres will be available. This will include veggie trays, cheese and cracker trays, and meatballs. There will also be water bottles available, as the bar won't be open until a little while after the arrival of the guests (closer to the start of dinner).
The food being served for dinner is a taco bar from salsa grille--this will include corn and flour tortillas, two kinds of meat, rice, beans, shredded cheese, lettuce, pico, sour cream, and a side of chips, salsa, and queso dip.
Will there be an open bar?
Our bar setup will offer complimentary beer and wine options (Budlight, Corona / Moscato, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir). There will also be a cash bar available.
Can we bring our own alcohol?
No! Our bartending service and venue do not allow for any guests to bring their own alcoholic beverages. Any guest found to have brought in their own alcohol may accrue a fee of $200 and will risk having the bar service shut down completely for the night.
So please, leave your own alcohol at home and enjoy the beer, wine, and other beverages that will be available at the venue!
Could you give me a link to your wedding registry?
Our registry is listed on our website through the knot. There are both specific items listed, as well as an option to add to a cash fund for our honeymoon!

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?
You can bring cards/gifts to the reception, or you can choose to have them sent to the bride's parents. A mailing address will be included in your invitation to indicate where gifts can be sent!
What is the wedding day itinerary?
The wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 1:00 pm. Following the ceremony, the wedding party will relocate to take pictures before the reception.
Guests are asked to begin arriving at the reception venue at 4:30 pm, and the bridal party will arrive around 5:15-5:30 pm.
Dinner will begin at 6 pm and guests are encouraged to stay and enjoy music, dancing, and cupcakes following dinner.
The sendoff of the bride and groom will be at 10:00 pm, and the cleanup of the event will begin shortly afterward.
What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?
Guests may feel free to arrive at the church for seating as early as 12:15 pm and no later than 12:55 pm, as the ceremony will begin promptly at 1:00 pm.
What time will your reception end?
The reception will be ending at about 10:15 pm, following the sendoff of the bride and groom.
Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?
Yes; the wedding ceremony will be from 1:00 pm until about 2:00 pm. Guests are asked to begin arriving at the reception venue at 4:30 pm, so there will be about 2.5 hours between the ceremony and reception, during which the bridal party and families will relocate to take pictures.
Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
During the wedding ceremony and reception, flash photography is prohibited to allow the bride and groom, as well as their guests, to focus on the events. This is also to be respectful of hired photographer and their professional work. Photos can be taken without the use of flash, provided that guests do not interfere with the work of the professional photographer. Thank you!
Can I post wedding photos on social media?
Yes, feel free to post photos.
