Our Wedding

Hi there! If you are interested in hearing the story of how the bride (me!) and the groom (Jared!) met, keep reading.&nbsp; Jared and I met while we were attending college in Fort Wayne. He was halfway through&nbsp;his sophomore year, while I was a wee freshman, still getting used to the college scene. Oddly enough, none of our core classes coincided, as Jared majored in music education, and I, in elementary education. While he attended most of his classes in the same building on campus, my classes were spread out among the other buildings.&nbsp;"Well, Ashley, if that was the case,&nbsp;how did you two&nbsp;meet?" you may be asking.&nbsp;&nbsp;It ended up being a shared love of music--singing, to be exact--that &nbsp;brought us together. Though I&nbsp;wasn't&nbsp;technically studying music along the way to earning my degree, I had a big interest in participating in some sort of choir group on campus. I sang in choir throughout high school (Jared did, too!), and after taking a semester break to get used to college classes, I auditioned for and joined two choral groups on campus. As fate would have it, Jared was a member of both groups.After one of the first classes, Jared approached me and introduced himself. We found out later&nbsp;that we had a mutual friend who was also in choir with us. Pretty quickly, the three of us, along with another of my high school friends, became a solid group, as we spent countless hours together in classes, rehearsals, concerts, and even choral conference trips.&nbsp;During this time, slowly but surely, Jared and I began to form a stronger friendship outside of our friend group. We continued to discover plenty of common interests, but underneath it all, there seemed to be a sort of&nbsp;undeniable connection between us. A month or two into our friendship, we knew we wanted to remain friends even beyond college. It was a few months later that we had our first date, and we made things official about a month after that.It's been many years since the beginning of our story together, but what has always remained constant is the genuine friendship we built and the love for music that brought us together!
