Kat Cagle- Maid of Honor

Kat entered Ashley's life in 2013/2014 and the pair have been inseparable since. Through the many phases of life, hairstyles, and cringy fashions, Kat has always been the bride’s best friend and one of her biggest supporters. Also, let’s not forget that Kat is the reason we are celebrating this marriage. Kat will be joining us from Charleston, SC.

Leana Weaver- Bridesmaid

Leana is the best big sister Ashley could ask for. She is always super supportive of her little sister and always makes her laugh every time they get together. She has also helped her through many life stages and helped Ashley become the strong, independent woman she is today. Leana is contributing her energetic, lively style to this wedding by having her son, Atlas, become a ring-bearer. Leana will be joining us from Inman, SC.

Taylor Brown- Bridesmaid

Taylor’s unmatched humor and wonderful taste of music was a mechanism that helped the couple survive nursing school. From many late nights studying, to eventually even working together briefly, Taylor’s raw humor and down to earth personality has made Ashley’s life more enjoyable all around. Taylor will be joining from Columbia, SC

Leah Permenter- bridesmaid

When Leah joined the family by marrying Ashley’s brother, Ashley gained a sister she didn’t know she needed. While reserved in nature, Leah’s sense of humor and true love for her husband (Ashley’s brother) is unmatched. Leah is also contributing her humor and personality to the wedding by having her son Asher, become a ring-bearer. Leah will be joining us from Cowpens, SC.

Jomel Jacinto- Best man

If kungfu panda and Kendrick Ken Jeong( from the Hangover ) Dragonball Z style fused you would get Jomel. He is a character that is full of laughs, joy, and farts. ( Editor's note: He is actually one of the leading causes of methane emissions driving global warming, not cows. It’s been scientifically proven, don’t look it up, trust me.) He is one of the most brilliant individuals I know and yet one of the derpiest I know. His compassion, positive insight, and slapstick humor have been a cornerstone in my life. I adore him and cherish him as my best friend, even though he didn’t name his firstborn after me.

Emily Svensen- groomsmaid

Few and far in between can hold a candle to the tenacity, honesty, and caring compassion Emily has shown to me over the years. She poetically waxes and wanes from being the protective mom of the friend group during college to a righteous Valkyrie ready to smite our robust stupidity. This Valkyrie’s ire came from a place of love. She knew that we could do better whenever we faltered and she would kindly remind us not to sulk in defeat. In whatever aspect of life it might be, trial, or tribulation she believed in us. She has shown and proven many times through sheer will and determination one can obtain whatever steak in life one desires. Through this she has influenced me to be a better man. She is a valued and treasured friend, a sister that I never knew I needed, and I am grateful for putting up with me in my best of times and worst of times.

Ted Smith- groomsman

The man, the myth, the legend Ted Smith ladies and gentlemen. He wears many hats. He is a great friend, brother in-law, father to my niece, and wildcard. He has the uncanny ability to render me to tears from laughter. He is a master of taking you on some many tangents during conversations that will leave you pleasantly confused at the end. Or he will leave questioning if this whole time he was pulling your leg and the whole thing was a bit. I love the way his mind works and I hope he never changes. What I admire about Ted the most is that even in the most dire situations of my life and his, he was able to make me laugh. He would remind me of what the best things in life are. He is a brother that I didn’t know I needed and one I am grateful to have.

Justin Philipose- groomsman

From the bottom of my soul, I hate to admit it but he is the funniest Philiphose. Roast master and dealer of emotional daggers that will leave you wheeling from the concussive shock of his chirps. An arms dealer of witty banter and well timed push lines, he would leave me more annoyed at myself for being able to keep up his banter when we roast each other. He is my little brother and most hated rival in Mario Smash Bro’s. (He cheats) He is one of the sweetest, thoughtful, and caring people in my life. He is one of my favorite people in the world and I wouldn’t trade for the world.
