Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?
We invite you to RSVP either by mailing in the card sent with the invitation, or by going online here: https://www.theknot.com/us/ashley-pooch-and-jacob-loyd-may-2024/rsvp
What date should I RSVP by?
Please RSVP ( https://www.theknot.com/us/ashley-pooch-and-jacob-loyd-may-2024/rsvp ) by April 28, 2024.
What is the address of the ceremony and reception venue?
Both the ceremony and reception will take place at the Matthews House, which is located at: 317 W Chatham St, Cary, NC 27511. The Google Maps link for the Matthews House can be found here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/Pud9FGXd4efgHRLm6
Where should I park?
The Matthews House has a large gravel parking lot right next to the venue. The parking lot is accessible directly from Chatham Street, and it is free for wedding guests to use. You may leave your car in the lot overnight after the wedding if needed, but please pick it up by 10 am the next morning.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be outdoors in the Matthews House garden (if weather does not permit an outdoor ceremony, then the ceremony will be held in the ballroom). Cocktail hour will be held on the patio, and the reception will be in the ballroom.
Will there be a shuttle from the hotel to the wedding venue?
There will not be a shuttle, but the venue is an easy 15 minute drive from the hotel, with easy and free parking available in the adjacent lot.
What is the dress code for the wedding?
We ask that you wear semi-formal attire such as a cocktail-length dress or dressy separates for women and a suit and tie for men.
What is the weather like in central North Carolina in late spring?
The temperature tends to be between the upper 60s and lower 80s, and the humidity tends to be moderate to high.
Can I bring a plus one?
Coworkers of the couple are not allowed to bring a plus one, as venue space unfortunately does not accommodate this many people. Family members and other friends whose invitation envelopes are addressed to them as a couple are not permitted to bring additional plus ones (for example if Guest A and Guest B are a couple, and their invitation is addressed to both of them, they are not allowed to bring additional plus ones). Other guests are permitted to bring a plus one; however, they must RSVP for both themselves and their plus one by April 28, 2024.
Am I allowed to bring my children?
Children who reside at the address of the adult invitees are permitted to attend, but must be RSVP’d for by April 28, 2024.
What type of food will be served at the wedding?
We will be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour prior to the reception, followed by dinner with food stations with salads, mains, and sides. And, of course, there will be cake!
Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?
There are vegetarian options available for both hors d’oeuvres and dinner, and there are a few gluten-friendly options as well. A gluten-friendly cake option is also available. For other specific needs, please indicate on your RSVP and we will inquire with the catering company about what accommodations are available.
Will there be an open bar?
The bar will start open, and will transition to cash/card after a certain value in alcohol consumption.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?
We are having an unplugged wedding ceremony - this means that during the ceremony, there will be no photos or videography allowed. We have a wonderful professional photographer and videographer coming to document our wedding, so there will be plenty of beautiful photos and video footage! When guests use their phones, tablets, cameras, and other devices to take photos or record a wedding ceremony, it interferes with the ability of the professionals to get the shots they need. You are welcome to take photos during cocktail hour and the reception, but please minimize the use of flash and do not get in the way of the professionals.
Can I post photos of the reception/cocktail hour on social media?
Sure! We don’t have a wedding hashtag, but feel free to share and tag us.
Will you be livestreaming your wedding?
No.
