The NCMA has numerous galleries spread throughout two buildings, as well as a 164-acre park with an extensive trail system and many outdoor art pieces. Admission to the galleries and park is free. Stand under the "Stargate" sculpture (trio of Gyre rings) where Jacob proposed to Ashley!

The largest natural history museum in the southeast, and an affiliate of the Smithsonian! It has free admission. Every native North Carolinian went here at least once (probably multiple times) on a school field trip when they were a kid!
