Yes! Clyde and its surroundings come alive in fall foliage. Here are some great spots to take it all in: Sherwood Anderson Park – Right in town and perfect for a quiet autumn stroll. North Coast Inland Trail – Ideal for biking or walking under a canopy of changing leaves. East Harbor State Park – About 30 minutes away with hiking, beaches, and sweeping Lake Erie views.

In the “The Caviest Cave” walk and climb natural stone steps and pathways through the “The Earth Crack” and view “Ole Mist’ry River“, the crystal clear flowing stream which is part of the vast ground-water system which underlies the surrounds region.



CAVERN CONDITIONS: Cave temperature is a constant 54 degrees F with high humidity. Since considerable walking and numerous steps are involved, some elderly people and those with medical problems may find the tour too strenuous. The cave is not wheelchair or stroller accessible. Carrying children on tour is not recommended. Backpacks are not permitted. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Jackson Street Pier is located on West Shoreline Drive at Jackson Street in downtown Sandusky on the shore of Sandusky Bay. The four acre site has been transformed into the city's premier public space, attracting thousands of residents and visitors to programs, festivals, and events year-round. Jackson Street Pier was initially developed as a parking lot and waiting area to serve ferry boats coming in and out of the bay. It is Ohio’s only non-airport international port and remains an active ferry terminal today.

Oktoberfest will be held Saturday and Sunday. The Saturday hours are 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM and the Sunday hours are 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A one-day pass will cost $5 and a two-day pass will cost $7. Children 12 and under will be free with an adult. Oktoberfest will be taking place in a large tent on Toledo Avenue across from the Boathouse Bar and Grille, as usual.

You’ll find live music for the entirety of the event. One of the acts will be the Maxx Band, famous on the island. The sauerbraten and wiener schnitzel will be available in abundance, as will all the awesome German beer you can drink. This is an all ages event, everyone will have a wonderful time!
