We recommend flying into Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF). The airport is 20 minutes from downtown Buffalo, and most of the downtown hotels offer courtesy shuttle service.

Our wedding venue is Spring Lake Winery located in Lockport, NY. This is approximately a 45-minute drive from downtown Buffalo. We recommend staying in Buffalo because Spring Lake Winery is located in a "middle-of-nowhere" type of setting. A very unique venue, but not close to anything else. Most of the activities we'd be participating in are located in downtown Buffalo, NY or Niagara Falls, NY.

We HIGHLY recommend staying in downtown Buffalo! There is plenty to do and most of our pre-and post-wedding shenanigans will take place there. We have reserved a room block with The Westin Buffalo in downtown Buffalo to stay in.

NO! While Niagara Falls is a wonderful attraction to visit, the US side is not a town that you want to stay in. The town is run-down with high crime and nothing to do except see the Falls. Niagra Falls is only a 30-min drive from downtown Buffalo and well worth the drive to see!

The Candian side of the falls has a much better view of the falls and the tourist area is very nice. The US side has additional attractions that let you literally stand under the falls. Both have their upsides! If you are eligible to cross the border to the Candian side, we highly recommend you to take a trip over to Canada! However, if you don't want to cross the border but still want the Canadian view, get on Maid of the Mist - you'll have the BEST view.
