Our Wedding & Itinerary

Our love story started as many others have in this digital age, on a dating app. By simply gazing at each other's profiles we could see our mutual love of travel, the outdoors, and animals. That was all that was needed to spark up a conversation. Our first date was at a local brewery during an ice storm in Rockford, IL. We must have been crazy to venture out because we were two of just a small handful of people in a very large establishment. I didn't mind the added privacy of our first meeting at all, as I was captivated by the wonderful stories Armin shared. I found his excitement so contagious and uplifting. It took very little time for me to notice one of my favorite things about him, he has an incredibly loud, insatiable laughter that fills a room. One that can make everyone else smile along, even when they don't know why. We shared pictures and stories of our travels, had deep conversations about society, and shared our first kiss suddenly as I was in the middle of an in-depth explanation of my first time eating anchovies in Rome. To which I replied, "Really? Anchovies are what does the trick for you?" That night was like many to come, full of laughter and joy. We quickly became inseparable. It didn't take too long for us to move from sharing stories of our travels to experiencing them together. And this is only the beginning of our greatest adventure.

Notable Mentions

Captain, a distinguished feline, outranks all pets in our household.

Our cat, Sargent, identifies as French. Aside from having a speech impediment (he doesn't meow, only chirps) and inflammatory bowel disease (seriously, his prescriptions cost more than a human's), he is very particular. But when he's in the mood, he'll shower you with love and cuddles, making him worth the high maintenance. Who saved who?

About Buffalo, NY

Buffalo, the second-largest city in the State of New York, was named after the French and Native American reference to the region as Beau Fleuve "beautiful river" referring to the Buffalo Creek River and the Niagara River. As the birthplace of the original Buffalo Chicken Wing, Buffalo houses many competitors who claim to be the best. Skeptical? Try them out for yourself! The original chicken wing was invented in Anchor Bar just a few blocks away from the hotel. Want other notable options? Click here. Like wine or ice wine? Niagara Falls USA is home to a burgeoning wine region in a truly unique atmosphere. The cool climate and rolling hills and valleys make for a one-of-a-kind terroir, home to small and large producers alike — and all kinds of grapes. Click here to learn more.

THANK YOU

While we appreciate anyone giving us physical gifts, our small one-bedroom apartment is limited and at maximum capacity. Ashley and I moving in together doubled all of our belongings - even after donating so many items away. If you would like to contribute, we appreciate any amount that will go towards our honeymoon. Click here to visit our Honeymoon Fund
