There is a massive farmer's market around the State Capitol Building from 6:15am to 1:45pm on Saturdays. You can also tour and look around inside the Capitol Building! Including looking out from the top.
Forward Madison FC is Madison's professional men's soccer team. They have many family-friendly matches, including one on 6/1/24! Their stadium is located one block away from our wedding venue.
EPIC- a large electronic medical record company- has their headquarters in Verona, WI. Their campus is open for self-guided tours on the weekends from 10am-3pm. The campus is extremely large and has many fun-themed sections including a Wizard's section, Storybook section, and functioning farm section with animals (among others).
Great place to visit on Lake Mendota! You should also check out State Street, which runs from the Terrace to the Capitol and has plenty of food, bars, and shops.
Olbrich is super fun to check out in early summer with all the gardens in bloom. It is also right next to Garver Feed Mill, which is a pretty neat renovated space that hosts the Winter Farmer's Market. It's open year round and has some restaurants and a coffee shop inside.
About an hour drive from downtown, Devil's Lake is the best place to do some hiking around Madison. If you want a walk in town, check out Picnic Point.
