Are children allowed at the wedding?

Unfortunately, no. Although we know some of our guests have the sweetest and most adorable kids, we are having a child-free wedding with the exception of certain close family members which we have already notified. We know that this can be difficult for some parents, but we truly hope that you're able to attend and enjoy our wedding!

Can I bring a plus one?

Due to limited seating and the size of our venue, only select guests are able to bring a plus-one. If we have offered you a plus-one, it will show up when you go to RSVP on our webpage. Unfortunately, most of our guests will not be able to bring plus-ones, but we have tried to be intentional about making sure guests will know other people at the wedding to enjoy themselves as much as possible.

What attire should be worn at the wedding?

Our wedding will be a formal event, so we ask that you dress accordingly. For people wearing dresses, this would mean a dress that is full-length, elegant, and of course comfortable enough to get your groove on. For people wearing pants, this would mean a suit, a nice, elegant pantsuit/jumpsuit, dress pants with a blouse or fancy shirt, etc. If you have any questions about attire, feel free to contact the Maid of Honor.

Who should I contact if I have questions about the wedding?

Please contact Ashley Roberts, the Maid of Honor, for any questions about the wedding. She requests that you call her and leave her a voicemail so that she can get back to you with the appropriate answer promptly. You can reach her at (803) 447-7380.

Can I take photos of the wedding?

We are asking for guests to engage in a unplugged ceremony. This ceremony is extremely meaningful to us and although we know that you'd love to capture it, we trust our photographer to capture every moment. If people are using phones during the wedding ceremony it can definitely impact the pictures that she will take during the ceremony and will impact our ability to be present with one another and enjoy the moment. Although we desperately ask for no phones during the ceremony, you are absolutely able to take pictures during the reception, but don't want you to feel pressured to do so. Our photographer will be capturing these moments as well, so enjoy your time as you see fit! If that's taking pictures with friends and videos on the dance floor, do it! We just ask that you share them with us...hahaha :) Additionally, we will have a photo booth with props during the wedding for guests to enjoy!

What will the weather be like?

The average high temperature in October is 69 and the average low is 47. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside while still light out, but for the reception (when it starts to cool down) we will move inside the venue.

When do I need to RSVP by?

Please RSVP as soon as possible! But at the latest by August 24th. If you have concerns about RSVP'ing by this date, please reach out to the Maid of Honor.

What time does the wedding start?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4pm. We will begin seating guests around 3:15pm and ask that everyone is seated by 3:50pm.

Where should I stay for the wedding?

Jefferson, NC is a beautiful location, but does have limited lodging. We suggest that you look at our lodging webpage to look at options for lodging nearby and that you book a place to stay ASAP. This section of the beautiful high country often books up quickly around the time of our wedding due to the gorgeous foliage. We have direct links to hotels, bed and breakfasts, Air-BnB, and VRBO's in the area on this webpage. We are additionally offering a shuttle to and from the venue if you stay at the hotel we have partnered with (listed on the lodging page) and are able to provide you 15% off when you book with our link there! We are hoping that by providing this, people will not need to worry about getting back to their hotel safely especially since we know there will be alcohol served at the wedding.

What food/alcohol will be served at the wedding?

Bryson is so excited about the menu that we are offering! For cocktail hour we will be having passed bruschetta and stuffed mushroom caps (vegetarian options) along with a southern grazing table which includes things like biscuits with apple butter and ham, wickles, shoe peg corn salsa, deviled eggs, etc. For dinner there will be two meat options: Tuscan chicken and braised beef brisket with fried leeks. There will be a vegetarian option of a tuscan portobello mushroom for a main entree; please indicate that you are a vegetarian in your RSVP so we can provide this for you. Sides for dinner will include smoked cheddar and basil mashed potatoes, green beans, yeast roll, and an autumn apple salad. We will have an array of desserts: shooters (banana pudding, strawberry shortcake, key lime pie), minis (tiramisu, bourban chocolate pecan tarts, baklava tarts, and cannoli bites with chocolate chips). We additionally will have an open bar with various wines, liquors, and beers along with three signature cocktails!
