Ashley Roberts - Maid of Honor
Ashley first met the bride (also Ashley ha!) while they went to Winthrop. While at Winthrop they worked together as RA's and even though they tried to enforce rules, they also broke many together. Although the Ashley's are best friends, they are more like sisters. Ashley has been a strong presence in the bride's life throughout several highs and several lows which has always meant the WORLD to the bride. You can find these two having karaoke parties, talking in weird accents and phrases, watching old YouTube videos, searching for the best bagels, and reminiscing over good memories. Ashley is a loyal confidant, hilarious friend, and a strong woman...and belcher.
Morgan Venters - Bridesmaid
Morgan and Ashley initially met while they were at Gregg Middle School! Ashley and Morgan became the best of friends and shared some crazy and silly memories together both in adulthood and childhood. Some of Ashley's favorite memories with Morgan is when they went to NYC together in high school, singing karaoke together, and having endless sleep overs. One of their previous special talents was being able to perform the finale routine from Pitch Perfect together. Morgan has always been like family and continues to be stellar friend, bad ass woman, hysterical comedian, and kind soul.
Grace Cassidy - Bridesmaid
Grace and Ashley met as babies! Both Ashley and Grace's grandmothers were the best of friends which made Ashley and Grace the best of friends. They shared many trips together including going to Myrtle Beach, NYC, and Disney world! Recently, they saw one another at Grace's mom's surprise wedding in Charleston, SC! No matter how long it is between seeing one another, they can catch up like they saw each other the day before. Ashley adores Grace and thinks she is an absolutely outstanding person. Grace is such a creative, funny, and down to Earth woman and Ashley is so lucky that Grace is, and has been, a part of the family!
Ashley Arney - Bridesmaid
Ashley met the bride shortly after the bride began dating Bryson! Ashley is Bryson's cousin, but more of a best friend to both of them. Ashley and the bride have shared their love for books, crafts, Taylor Swift, and SZA. They've already become family with one another and love spending time together. The bride is eternally grateful to have met Ashley and can't imagine this incredible woman not being in her life. You can catch these Ashley's always wanting to play Telestrations and spend their Sunday's coloring together. Ashley is hardworking, strong-willed, and a loyal friend.
Julie Arney - Bridesmaid
Julie and Ashley were introduced shortly after Bryson and Ashley started dating. If it tells you anything about Julie, she drove two and a half hours with Bryson's crew just to be able to meet Ashley at an IHOP. Julie is always up for an adventure whether that's making long drives or finding the best Air BnB's. Julie and Ashley always find themselves laughing together, confiding in one another, and talking about their new hyper-fixations. Ashley couldn't be more grateful and happy that she is able to be friends and now family with Julie. Julie is jovial at heart, tender, caring, along with the best baker that you've ever met.
Abby Underwood - Bridesmaid
Ashley first met Abby when she was a baby! Abby is one of Ashley's cousins even though she feels more like a little sister to Ashley. Through the years, Abby and Ashley bonded over their love for American Girl Dolls and their yearly competition at Smith Mountain Lake (which they invented of course). As they got older they grew closer and closer, shared more secrets, celebrated huge accomplishments, and became best friends. Abby is one of the best humans to ever exist; she is a fierce and loyal friend to everyone. She is a dedicated, caring, and kind daughter, sister, and granddaughter. Abby is incredibly intelligent and hard-working. She will accomplish anything she sets her mind to, from running a half marathon in her neighborhood to studying in Greece for her first semester in college. Abby continues to amaze Ashley and she is so grateful that Abby is not only her cousin, but the little sister she always wanted.
Joshua Tarr - Groomsman
Josh(ua) is one of Bryson's oldest friends. They met in high school and have been through the thickest of thicks together. When they started hanging out, they realized that their grandparents were right down the road from each other! What a life it would've been if they had known each other as small (not so small for Josh as he has always been 10 feet tall) children. Josh may seem reluctant to join along on Bryson's crazy adventures, but he always shows up and will show up even faster if there is food involved! Josh is always willing to help with handyman things, he is the first person ready to fight for the people he cares about, and he's one of the funniest people Bryson knows. Josh is a pillar in Bryson's life and Bryson loves him to pieces. When asked for a blurb for the website Josh is quoted to say, "Don't ask me to fix your internet."
Macie Miller - Groomswoman
Macie is Bryson's middle sister. She is thorough when she is involved in things, but when it comes to taking adventures with Bryson she will only ask for a drink and what time they will be home. They worked together at Domino's and would argue as siblings do, especially when it came to snacks. When they worked together again as adults, they didn't argue about anything but snacks because having the good snacks in a preschool are important. Macie is one of Bryson's biggest confidants. She is loyal as they come, she's such a hard worker (she's crammed her semesters full since she's started college), and she was one of Bryson's first unconditional best friends. Bryson is beyond proud of everything that she has accomplished and everything she continues to accomplish. When asked for a quote to put on the website, Macie quoted one of her favorite artists and said, "I don't know what I want, so don't ask me".
Kallie Miller - Groomswoman
Kallie is Bryson's baby sister (don't let her height trick you). Kallie is always down for an adventure, especially if Bryson is in the driver seat. She even tried to weasel herself into the passenger seat the first time that Bryson drove to meet Ashley. Kallie is a fierce friend, the phrase "not my circus not my monkeys" has never applied to Kallie as she views every monkey part of her circus. She has such a tender heart when it comes to animals. She took in every stray cat she could when she was little and until she got bit, she was the best gerbil wrangler on the east coast. Kallie has always been rough and tumble when it comes to Bryson, but he wouldn't have it any other way (most the time, as he is getting old). Kallie has the coolest collection of Converse that Bryson has ever seen, the most knowledge of stop action films that you'll ever hear, and knows more show tunes than any person ever should. He is proud of the person that she is growing into and can't wait to see where this life takes her. Even though she drives him crazy, he is elated that she will be standing with him on this big day. When asked for a quote for the website Kallie said, "I build fake houses for fake people".
Ethan Fite - Groomsman
Ethan and Bryson met working at Starbucks together. They became quick friends as Bryson picked on Ethan every shift they worked together. Ethan tagged along with Bryson on random adventures after work as long as there were "milk pills" (lactaid) on deck. Bryson and Ashley love going to the theater to see Ethan in action as he know works at the Hickory Community Theater full time. He played 10 different people in "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder", played a cheerleader in "Exit, Pursued by a Bear", and plays every character in Schitt's Creek and Bob's Burgers on TikTok (his handle is @ethanfite if you're curious). Ethan is extremely talented in every craft he does whether it be acting or art, he is effortlessly funny, and such a sweet southern soul. Bryson is thankful to know Ethan and extremely proud of everything he's accomplishing. When asked for a quote for the website Ethan said, "Slay".
Kassy Labo - Groomswoman
Kassy and Bryson grew up together, so inseparable that they were referred to as "Salt and Pepper". Now Bryson says that Kassy is one of the reasons his hair is salt and peppered, but he means it lovingly. Kassy is an actual animal whisperer. She's the only person Bryson has ever met that has actually had cat scratch fever (and continues to love cats even though she's allergic to them), she's never met a dog she hasn't loved (which comes in handy with her profession), and she's the only person that makes dog hair a fashion statement. If you put animals aside, Bryson will also point out that Kassy can read a book faster than any person he's ever met, she is one of the most thoughtful people you'll ever meet, and she's got a forehead vein that pops out when you get her laughing hard enough (and that's not an impossible task). Bryson is beyond grateful that Kassy has stuck by his side since they were 4 years old and couldn't imagine getting married without Kassy up there with him. When asked for a blurb for the website Kassy is quoted to say, "I really gotta get back to the dogs".
Emily Wilson - Groomswoman
Emily and Bryson worked together at Starbucks and became friends after a bird flew into the window of the lobby. They worked together all through the pandemic so they spent a lot of time together. They bonded through dark humor and food. Bryson has told many people that he can always count on Emily, whether they were working together or in their personal lives. Emily introduced Bryson to Katana Kitchen (it's in Statesville and Bryson highly suggests the apple pie wontons), banana juice, and homemade eggrolls. She also helped him through some very thick times during the pandemic and he considers her one of his absolute best buddies, thankful beyond words for the friendship they have. Emily is a whirlwind of a human, she's an old soul that listens when people are breaking down, and even though she's just a tiny little thing she gives the absolute best hugs. When asked for a quote for the website Emily sent, "If practice makes perfect and perfect needs practice, I'm perfectly practiced and practically perfect."
Kaylee McConnell - Flower Girl
Since Ashley and Bryson got engaged, Kaylee was persistent in wanting to be the flower girl at the wedding...little did she know, Ashley and Bryson felt the same way! Kaylee told all her friends at school about this exciting day and the important role that she would play. Kaylee is the funniest and most effervescent kid you'll ever meet. Not only is she a girl scout, she dances, plays basketball, and is incredible at soft ball...just to name a few of the things she's a rockstar at! Ashley and Bryson are so excited to have Kaylee be there on their special day.
Charlotte Underwood - Guest Guide
Charlotte is Ashley's youngest cousin, and even though she is the "youngest" she is now an incredible young woman. At their yearly family trips to Smith Mountain Lake, Ashley loved singing karaoke with Charlotte, watching her try to make the best belly-flop, and getting covered in marshmallows while making s'mores. Watching Charlotte grow-up has been one of the most beautiful things to witness, because she has always stayed true to herself. As a child, Charlotte described herself as "fancy" which is honestly the perfect word to describe her. Charlotte speaks her mind, but with kindness, grace, and honesty; she always stays true to herself unapologetically. From Charlotte's sassy, childhood sayings like "What-a-heck" to her kind and thoughtful heart, she is an absolute gem on this planet! Ashley and Bryson are so thankful to Charlotte for being a part of their day by helping keep the party alive (in true Charlotte fashion)!
Leighton Underwood - Guest Guide
Leighton is one of Ashley's cousins and the kindest young man you've ever met! As a kid, Leighton and Ashley were inseparable; up until his teen years, you could find Leighton falling asleep on Ashley at least once a year. Leighton is incredibly brave, athletic, funny, confident, caring, and thoughtful. Some of Ashley's favorite memories of Leighton include him saying "How you doin'" to people he passed by as a child, watching him do stunts off the back of the boat, and performing his rendition of "California Girls" by Katy Perry. Leighton has never been afraid of being himself and is genuinely so welcoming and kind to everyone. Ashley feels so lucky to have him in her life and a part of this huge day!
