Ashliegh and Whitney met in 2011 when they both worked for the same company in Grand Forks, ND. They became fast friends and have spent many Fourth of Julys together at Ashliegh's family lake home in Minnesota. Ashliegh's favorite memories with Whitney include meeting Whitney's children when they were born, especially seeing Whitney hold her daughter Aubrey for the first time in the NICU in Minneapolis after baby Aubrey was airlifted from Grand Forks to Minneapolis for urgent care.

Shakira was Ashliegh's leasing agent when she moved to Minneapolis from Chicago in 2016. They became close friends and have maintained a strong friendship over the past few years.
