Our Wedding

Maverick and I originally met a long time ago when we went to Napavine Elementary School. We were both in Mr. Patrick’s 4th/ 5th split class. Mav then ended up going to Chehalis and I stayed in Napavine. Through the years, unknowingly, we both had moved a few times and our houses always were within a few blocks of each other. We had a lot of the same friends as well, yet never ended up at the same place at the same time. Fast forward, we have been friends on FB for years. I posted a funny meme one day about being single and ready to mingle, yet not. Mav commented on my post and we commented back and forth a couple times until I messaged him. We messaged every day for months from that day on, until he finally asked me on a date. I had been single for a long time and wasn’t even sure if I was ready to date. I put all my time and energy into working and taking care of my boys. I was a single mom doing it all alone working long hours and many days. We both had that following Monday off work which was unusual for both of us, so we made a plan and set a date. Mav taught me how to play pool, which is when I learned he is colorblind. I kept calling the balls by colors and he kept calling them by their numbers. I finally figured out why. We then went shooting and the scope was broken, but we shot anyways, and I hit the bucket we were using as a target. I was so excited cause Mav didn’t hit it at all. We then got Mexican for dinner and when the waitress came to see how we were doing I handed her my debit card really fast and paid for dinner. Mav had no idea until she came for me to sign and he was SHOCKED to say the least. He looked straight at me and said no one had ever done that before. I said it’s only fair, we just about $100 worth of your ammo. We then went back to his house and talked for hours, I had to get going though cause I wanted to get back home to the boys. What I loved most about this man that night, was he walked me to my car, gave me a hug, but didn’t try and kiss me or try anything. Was just a gentleman. Fast forward again, we spent every day after that together. Then so fast, I found out I was pregnant with Bodhi. I was so scared. I was so scared thinking I would raise 3 kids all alone. Mav again surprised me, stuck it out. Took on Cole as his own. Treats Hayden like his own. Provides for our family and always takes care of us no matter what. Through thick and thin. I’ve never had to worry if the bills will get paid or if we will have food on the table. Then came Teagan. Our blessing from God. I truly believe God put Maverick and I together and has kept us together through the best of times and the worst of times. I could literally go on forever about our life, but 6 years worth is too much to add in here. God has a plan for us and our family. I’m so thankful for where we are today. Years and years later. Since being back in church and us both being saved, baptized and full of the Holy Ghost, we have chose to live apart until we are married, so we can do things right. We want to please God and make sure we are doing things according to his word. We can not wait to become one flesh as God intended and live together again and have our family whole. We are so thankful for each and every one of you that have been through it all with us and still are rooting us on, and love our family. We love you all.

Alisha and I have been best friends since the 4th grade. Ironically we also met at Napavine Elementary School, in Mr. Patrick’s class and became the best of friends. She absolutely is considered family. We sometimes go weeks, even years without seeing each other (life is just busy) BUT he second we get back together, we just pick up where we left off, like we never missed a beat. I grew up with Alisha, she was a huge part of my childhood and a ton of my core memories. Her and her family took me in, and included me. Literally as family. I went on all of the “family vacations”, I got to experience so much, with my best friend right by my side.

Alisha and I growing up, literally were polar opposites. But that’s what made us “click”. She taught me so much about how to love and be loved. She probably doesn’t even realize that. Alisha has always ALWAYS been the most kind and gentle soul, and I have always aspired to have that kind of aesthetic about me as well. When she walks into a room, she lights it up with her kindness! 

She has been there for each one of my children being born, always comes to every bday party or event and always makes time for myself and my family. She is the most amazing mother herself. She also just got her RN and I could not be more proud of her. She has worked so hard for so long and deserves the world! 

I’m forever thankful for the friendship we have endured and without a doubt, I know it will be life long. I love you Alisha.

Veronica, you’re not just my sister in law, you’re my friend. I’m forever thankful for Veronica and the person she is. She has such a kind heart and generous spirit. 

Every day is brighter with my amazing sister-in-law by my side. We may not share genes, but we share an unbreakable bond. Through thick and thin, my sister-in-law is always there for me. You're more than a sister-in-law; you're family.

She does so much for her family and the whole church. She is an amazing First Lady; always planning events, prepping and preparing meals. Hosting and opening her home to so many. 

She is an amazing mother to my niece and nephews. We understand each other so much being married to brothers who are so similar! I love you Veronica. 

Veronica Wark

She’s one of best friends and yet no one can make my blood boil like she can. That’s sisters for you. The bond between us is like no other. Sandra is someone I can be myself with, whom I’m not afraid to fight with—and often did as kids, thankfully we’ve grown out of the fighting stage. At the end of the day though, our love is unconditional and life-long. 

Sandra is both my mirror and my opposite, all in one. She is apart of so many of my childhood memories that can never be lost, get us to talking and you’ll find a wealth of interesting stories that will make us laugh until our bellies hurt. 

Sisters are the people we practice on, the people who teach us about fairness and cooperation and kindness and caring—quite often the hard way… Sisters are friends we have for a lifetime.

My sister is such an amazing person, a hard worker and a loving mom!
