ASHLYN KRISTA SCHULTZ
Where were you born? Grew up?
Ashlyn was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, but grew up across the river in Gering, Nebraska.
How did you end up in Wahoo, Nebraska?
After high school, Ashlyn decided to go to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Lincoln, Nebraska to go to college. After graduating college, she moved to south Lincoln thinking that would get me out of the city life. After a few years of that, she decided I really wanted to move back into a small town. That's how she ended up in Weston, Nebraska (population of 300). While living in Weston, that is when Ashlyn met Brett and eventually moved in with Brett in Wahoo, Nebraska.
Family? Siblings? Nephews? Nieces? Pets?
Ashlyn is an only child who grew up with just her mom and dad. When she moved to south Lincoln, she decided to get a companion, a dog. She named her Stella. She is a Texas Heeler (half Australian Shepard and half Red Heeler). She turned 4 years old in August of 2024.
Where do you work? Volunteer work?
Ashlyn works night shift (3rd shift from 11:oo pm-7:oo am) at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital as a certified nursing assistant. She celebrated her 5 year anniversary in June, 2024.
What is one goal you'd like to accomplish in life?
One goal that Ashlyn would like to accomplish in life is to sky dive all 50 states. So far, she has jumped in Hawaii, Nevada, and Arizona.
What is something that you've always wanted to try but haven't had the chance to yet?
Ashlyn has always wanted to swim with sharks!
Do you consider yourself competitive?
Yes, Ashlyn sees herself as competitive. She grew up playing sports, mainly basketball year around and loved to compete against others. Ashlyn thinks that competing against others helps herself grow as a person.
What can always make you feel better after a bad day?
Most definitely Dr. Pepper, chocolate, candy and being around Brett :)
How do you like to spend your free time?
Sleeping or hanging out with friends and family
What are most afraid of?
That is a tough question. There isn't just one thing that Ashlyn can say she is afraid of, but to list a few: snakes, spiders, critters in general.
