Our Wedding

We met for the first time briefly at an Athletes in Action retreat in Saskatchewan in March of 2017. The following fall, Cassandra and her friends were at a University of Alberta football game against the University of Regina. Atlee had quite the game and Cassandra recognized his name when it was continuously announced over the loud speaker. Following the game, Cassandra sent Atlee a direct message on instagram congratulating him on the game. Atlee loves to tell people how Cass made the first move haha. Following that message, they chatted here and there but started talking more during the track and field season in January, as they were both running track at the time. The pictures below tell the rest!

How we met!

Sophie and Cassandra became fast friends ;) when a part of the University of Alberta track and field team together. Sophie has spent a lot of time and holidays at the Grenke household over the years and is basically an honorary Grenke sister at this point. Sophie is currently completing her after-degree in nursing at the University of Alberta as just wrapped up an amazing track and field career!

Meghan is Grenke sister number 3. Meghan is one of the most carefree go with the flow people, not much shakes her. She is completing her degree in Meteorology at the University of Alberta and is currently working as a summer student with the Weather Network in Ontario. Meghan is also an incredible musician, one of the things Cassandra misses most about Edmonton is hearing Meghans saxophone through the vents in her room.

Jackson, along with his wife Brittany, have quickly become Atlee and Cass’s closest couple friends. We are excited to continue this friendship into our marriage.
