Carter and I met in January of 2022 while I was finishing up school and he was living in the area while working during his welding apprenticeship. We talked over the phone everyday until we finally met on February 4th at Main street Pub. I met him there with my roommates after arranging to meet him there while us girls were out at a hockey game. The minute he got out of his Ford Ranger and we started talking it felt as if we had known each other forever.

From that night on Carter and I talked nonstop and were pretty much inseparable. His presence brought me comfort and not long into us knowing each other started to feel like home. We soon after started officially dating, which led to fishing trips, mini adventures, and us bringing home our first dog Dallas. Just before I graduated from Grand Valley Carter and I officially moved in together south of Battle Creek. With this move we have been lucky to explore new areas and even spend our lunch breaks together.

On November 26, 2023 during the Winters first big snowfall, Carter proposed to me in our home while putting up our Christmas decorations. Now I can't wait for June 6, 2025, the day I get to marry my best friend.
