You Need Socks. Bring Them, Or Buy Them! Each level of our playground is 5’4-5’11 in height, making it easy for parents to join in on the fun. Breakaway’s interconnected city will feature a grocery store, fire department, and hospital. Here children can use their imaginations to become doctors, firefighters, police officers, hair stylist, restaurant owners, teachers, stage performers, and more. For the youngest guest, we offer a separate and enclosed infant/toddler play area where they can enjoy safe activities that are stimulating and fun. The target age range is 12 years and younger. However, parents are welcomed and encouraged to play along. No one over the age of 13 years old is allowed on the spider climber in the main play area. There is a 250lb. per person weight limit on the play structures and a combined total weight of 300lb limit on the trampoline. ALL CHILDREN entering the facility over the age of 1 year must pay the admittance fee. Hannah and I shared a room growing up wherever we moved to, which of course included late night chats and countless memories that I will forever cherish. Little then did I know that our friendship would blossom into something greater and special over the years. What I admire about Alaina most is her incredible kindness. Jade and I first became friends back in 6th grade and stayed close all through middle school. Life took us in different directions after that, but fate had other plans — one day, I ran into her and her boyfriend Oisín (who I also knew from school) right outside my apartment. Turns out, they had been living just behind us for months! We picked up right where we left off, and I’m so excited to have her by my side as a bridesmaid.

William is Tristan’s best man and longtime friend. They first met in college when they were among the few who consistently showed up to class—and often sat by each other. What started as casual classroom company quickly grew into a lasting friendship, filled with countless hangouts and memories outside of school. William has been by Tristan’s side ever since, making him the perfect choice for best man. William was the first to call and congratulate Tristan on the engagement.

Kyler is one of Tristans great friends he met in college. The two first connected while working together at the Human Performance and Nutrition Research Institute (HPNRI), where their shared dedication quickly turned into friendship. They also teamed up for case competitions during school and even earned second place together—a memory that still makes them proud. From late nights of hard work to celebrating their wins, Kyler has been a steady friend by Tristan’s side.

Oisín is one of Tristan’s groomsmen and a friend he met through me, Aubrey. The two quickly hit it off with their shared sense of humor and have been great friends ever since. Whether they’re hanging out, talking about video games, TV shows, or just life in general, they always enjoy each other’s company.

Our story began in 2018, in a high school program called CPAC, which allowed students to advance through school at their own pace. It was an online program, but there were in-person classes too. Tristan joined the program due to his childhood battle with cancer and a brain tumor, which made it difficult for him to always attend school regularly. CPAC gave him the flexibility he needed to do schoolwork from home when he wasn’t feeling well.  I remember the first time I saw him. I was new to the class, and I took a seat at his table, not knowing who he was. Tristan had this bright, welcoming smile that stood out to me right away. The teacher often called him “Sticks,” referring to the two crutches he was using at the time. I didn’t know who “Sticks” was at first, and I spent days trying to figure it out. It wasn’t until I overheard someone call him “Tristan” that everything clicked, and I was even more confused. Who was this “Sticks” guy?  For a while, Tristan and I shifted around tables. I moved to the back of the room, and then he did the same. Eventually, I found myself back at the front tables, but we still hadn’t really talked. Tristan, though, tells the story a little differently. According to him, I made the first move. He remembers me standing behind him one day after lunch, smiling up at him like I’d been waiting to talk to him. Maybe he’s right. But for me, the story goes a little differently. One day, Tristan came up to me and simply asked, “Do you have Snapchat?” I said, “Yeah!” and he asked if he could add me, since he had just downloaded it for the first time. I gave him my username, and from there, our conversations took off.  We talked non-stop for a few days. It didn’t take long for him to ask me out to the movies over Snapchat, which was a little untraditional, but I still have it saved as a sweet memento to this day. Of course, I had to ask my parents for permission, since I was only 17 at the time. They were understandably skeptical at first, but when they met him and saw how respectful he was (he even shook their hands right away), I knew he was different.  Our first date was on September 28th, 2018. When we pulled into the parking lot, Tristan looked at me and said, “You know what’s cool about going on a date with me?” I replied, “What?” and he pulled out a handicapped parking permit and said, “First-class parking.” I laughed so hard, but in that moment, I also saw his sense of humor and genuine nature which made that date truly unforgettable. He was nothing like anyone I’d ever met before.  Over the past nearly seven years, we’ve had our ups and downs, but every challenge has only made us stronger. We’ve truly grown up together. Tristan is not only my fiancé, but my partner, my hero, and the love of my life. I can’t imagine spending my life with anyone else. Even after all this time, I hate being away from him. There’s no one else I’d rather spend the rest of my life with.
