Empire Board Game Library: Steven and Audra's favorite date night spot! Empire Board Game Library lets customers play hundreds of different board games for only $3 an hour. They also have a cafe which, according to the couple, has the best hot chocolate in town (peppermint flavoring recommended by the groom)!
Old Town: Where Audra and Steven's engagement pictures were taken! Although a well-known tourist spot, Old Town Albuquerque is home to many shops with local hand-crafted goods, as well as the oldest church in Albuquerque, San Felipe de Neri.
The Foothills: For the outdoor adventurer! The Foothills of the Sandia Mountains have dozens of trails for both the beginning hiker and the experienced trekker. A favorite running spot of the bride, these trails are great for walking, hiking, biking, and horseback riding, but make sure to not get lost!
Round One: A popular hangout! Round One offers bowling, billiards, and arcade games, as well as a bar. Open from 10am-2am, Round One is perfect for early birds and night owls alike.
Take a ride on the Tram: A local attraction! Once acclaimed as the world's longest tramway, the Sandia Peak Tram takes you from the base of the mountains to the peak. Visitors are able to overlook the scenic mountains on the journey up and stop to grab a bite to eat at the restaurant on the peak before heading back down.
Check out some local breweries: For the beer connoisseur! Albuquerque is a Mecca for craft breweries. With roughly 65 local breweries, everyone is bound to find a local craft brew that is a perfect match for their taste buds.
Take a ride to Santa Fe on the Rail Runner: A favorite summer activity of the groom! The New Mexico Rail Runner runs between Albuquerque and Santa Fe and provides a cheap and fun mode of transportation to visit the capital city of New Mexico.
Go see the penguin exhibit at the Zoo: The bride's favorite animal! Audra was beyond thrilled when it was announced that the Albuquerque Biopark, Zoo, and Aquarium would be welcoming penguins to New Mexico. With their cute little flippers and the way they slide on their bellies on the ice, Audra can't get enough of watching these arctic birds in action.
