Q + A

What is the dress attire for the wedding?

The attire is summer cocktail! Ladies, feel free to wear dresses of any length - think summer dresses, sandals, a heel is you'd like, nothing too formal is required. Men, think nice pants and a button down shirt. Jackets are optional, especially with the weather having the potential to be really warm! The ceremony and cocktail hour are outdoors, so plan accordingly for that.

How can I get from the airport to the hotel or venue?

Feel free to call an uber, rent a car if you'd like, or take the Long Island Railroad! LGA is about 45 minutes to an hour away from the wedding location. If you decide to go via train, you'll need to hop on the free airport bus to Woodside train station. From there, you can catch the Long Island Railroad.

Will there be transportation from the hotel block to the venue?

Yes! If you opt to stay in the hotel with the room block, there will be a free shuttle that will take you to the wedding venue and back at the end of the night. Otherwise, feel free to uber, or if you would prefer, there are a limited number of parking spots available at the venue if you do choose to drive yourself.

Are kids invited to the wedding?

We opted to have a child-free wedding !

Planning on spending some time in NYC while here? Here are a few of our favorite spots!

There are endless things to do in NYC. After living here for 3 years, Brian and I have just scratched the surface! These are just a handful of recommendations off the top of my head if you're looking to spend some time in NYC. I focused on Manhattan and Brooklyn recommendations because those are the two buroughs Brian and I are most familiar with since we've lived in both. Hopfully this list will give you a good starting point! :)

Rainy day Activities?

Visit the MET Museum or the MOMA! Both great spots for seeing tons of famous paintings and artwork.

Sunny Day Activities?

Visit Central Park, the West Side Highway Path, Battery Park (you can see the statue of liberty from here!), the High Line (if its not too busy), the Brooklyn Bridge, and Brooklyn Bridge Park! There are endless options, you can't really go wrong with just walking around the city and seeing everything there is to see! If you're interested going further into Brooklyn near where Brian and I live, visit the Brooklyn Botanical gardens or Prospect Park!

Typical Tourist Attractions that are worth it?

Freedom Tower, 911 Memorial, Grand Central Terminal, the New York Public Library, St. Patrick's Cathedral

Nighttime Activities?

See a comedy show at the Comedy Cellar! Or catch a Broadway show - all are impressive, and Brian and I recently saw Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and we highly recommend it!

Restaurant Recommendations?

Breakfast: Manhattan - Ritz's Diner, EJ's Luncheonette, Bagel Works (best bagels in NYC in our opinion) Brooklyn - Cousin John's Bakery, Bagel World, Purity Diner Lunch/Dinner: Manhattan - Up Thai, Two Wheels, Turn Table Jazz, Xian's Famous Noodles, Singapura, City Vineyard, Chelsea Market, Los Tacos No. 1, Eataly Downtown (and many more!) Brooklyn - Sweet Water, Pasta Louise, Sky Ice Thai, Haenyo, Brooklyn Burgers and Beer, Banhmigos, Hanoi (and many more!)

Coffee Shop Recommendations?

Manhattan - Birch Coffee, Porto Rico Coffee Importers (super cool spot where Brian and I buy our coffee beans!) Brooklyn - Hungry Ghost or Cafe Regular!
