Lorica and Austin met the "old fashioned way", dating apps! Hah, but in all reality, it all began July of 2021, when they met on Hinge, decided to waste no time and go on a date to Buck & Honey's in Monona, between her in Fitchburg, WI & him in Poynette, WI. It went so well Austin decided to ask Lorica to be his wedding date to his friends Kirsten and Jordan Branton's wedding where Lorica caught the first of 4 bouquets she's caught as his wedding date!

Their first summer together was filled with countless country concerts and county fairs, nights on the town, under the stars and on the lake. If there's anything they love, it's being outdoors together!

The cold weather never stops them from enjoying a glassy night on the water!

That fall they went on many hikes, one of which where they ventured to one of Lorica's favorite spots she used to go with her dad growing up - Gibraltar Rock in Lodi, WI. It was in November of 2021 they moved in together to their first home in Poynette, WI.

When winter rolled around, Austin introduced Lorica to his favorite winter excursion -- trips up north to go snowmobiling! This became an annual tradition they now cherish every winter!

Their first spring together came along and with it came spring calves -Lorica's favorite part of the year with their herd. Not only did they have their own cow's calves to enjoy but they adopted two bottle calves as well! A bull calf named Roscoe and a heifer named Rory who both bonded with them instantly.

Rory and Lorica quickly became inseparable and Rory has since become permanently apart of their herd and she'll will be calving spring of 2024!

The 10th of their herd's spring calves was born -- meet Poppy! Poppy is one springy, energetic heifer who also is a very beloved calf to heir herd.

Walking the pasture is where they've spent most of their time from the very early stages of their relationship, the perfect spot for many long talks about their upbringings, dreams and their shared faith.

April 2nd of 2022, their family grew by two! Introducing Inigo & Wesley, two 8 month old brothers they adopted locally in Madison, WI!

Inigo & Wesley quickly bonded with them and settled into their new home.

Wedding Season round 2! Lorica caught bouquet number 2/4!

Summer of 2022 brought many more boating days and days under the sun -- fishing, floating and bonfire central!

Winter of 2022, came the holidays, aka plays and family time! This Christmas they visited home where Austin's family took Lorica to the Fireside Theater and Lorica took Austin to see Mary Poppins at the Al Ringling Theater with she and her Grandma in her hometown of Baraboo, WI!

In addition to lots of family time, Austin and Lorica's first Christmas in their first home together called for a new tradition - cutting down their Christmas tree!

Speaking of traditions - Austin got to join in on one of Lorica's family's most cherished traditions - riding the little red wagon down the long, twisty, winding driveway at Grandma Kathy's!

The annual trip up north came around again and the two of them headed up north again for sunny days on the snowmobile trails and cozy nights in playing board games!

What Lorica didn't realize about this trip was that there was a new beginning just around the corner! When they got home to the farm after their trip up north, Austin asked Lorica if she could see her life like this forever and he got down on one knee. Without a doubt, she said yes and Lorica became future Mrs.Renz!

Shortly thereafter came their third set of spring calves together - meet Birdy, who was quite the early bird indeed and gave them quite a scare. Born in the coldest peak of the season, she braved it through and proved just how strong their girls are.

Summer of 2023 our family grew just a "tiny" bit bigger! Meet Tiny, our 6-thumbed polydactyl boy! He has three thumbs on each paw and is the snuggliest, most curious and observant boy. We love him to pieces and so do his brothers!

You'd never believe it from a man who'd only ever grown up with dogs, but Austin has grown to love the boys just as much as I do and boy do they ever love him too.

Winter of 2023 has come again and we are snuggled in on our cold winters nights - it's not often you find these two separated. It's as though every time I turn around they're intertwined again.

This year brings our second annual Christmas tree picking, and by golly did we find a good one!
