Avery and Declan met in 2015 at The Summit Country Day School when Avery moved to Cincinnati from Danvers, Massachusetts. They soon became best friends and began dating a year later in 8th grade. After spending some time apart at the beginning of high school, they rekindled their relationship at sixteen years old and have been inseparable since. Avery attended Goucher College in Towson, Maryland while Declan went to George Washington University in Washington, D.C., a short train ride away.

In the summer of 2024, Declan proposed to Avery by surprising her at her house when she returned from work at The Summit – the same place they met. Surrounded by pictures they had taken together throughout the eight years of their relationship, Avery said yes. Avery and Declan are thrilled to spend the rest of their lives together and are excited to celebrate with you!
