Ayah and Omar met at USF. They quickly bonded over Omar’s interest in the lab where Ayah worked. They soon discovered they shared common goals and interests. They also found a meaningful connection: Omar was a student of Al-Khalil, Ayah's dad, who taught Omar at the ISRA masjid when he was a kid.

Shortly after, feeling a deep connection and sense of destiny, Omar asked Ayah's family for her hand in marriage. With both family’s blessings, the two became husband and wife.
