Sarakiniko Beach

Visit the most magnificent beach on Milos! Waves driven by north winds shape the greyish-white volcanic rock into amazing shapes, and the area is often compared to a moonscape.

Firopotamos Beach

Firopotamos is another top beach on Milos, located in a sheltered cove with crystal clear waters and colorful fishing boats. It’s a great spot for snorkeling and relaxing. There's a small kiosk at the beach to grab drinks and snacks, along with a small natural cliff dive up by the church.

Firiplaka Beach

A long stretch of sand with beach snacks for food and drinks. The rocks are a beautiful red color – not to be missed!

Mandrakia Fishing Village

Mandrakia is a charming fishing village on the island. It’s a great spot to wander around and take in the local architecture and colorful boathouses, or snorkel in the protected bay. While you’re there, grab a fresh seafood lunch overlooking the sea at the popular Medusa restaurant.

Kleftiko Cove

Taking a boat trip along the Milos coastline is one of the best ways to experience the crystal clear waters. Make sure to do one that stops at Kleftiko cove to experience snorkeling through the dramatic limestone caves.

Visit Plaka

Plaka is the main town on the island, with classic Greek island narrow streets and white-washed houses. It’s a great spot to grab dinner and explore the local shops. You can walk up to the Plaka castle for stunning sunset views over the island.

Papafragas Beach

This beach is actually made up of two ‘fingers’ of water that carved the rock out from the ocean, so be sure to check out both. Looking at a map, the left one features calm water and is easy to access just off the road. The right one is completely protected by walls and white-washed caves.
