Bao and Clem met on the infamous dating app, Hinge. It was Clem’s first day on Hinge when Bao sent him a heart. After voice messaging each other back and forth and video chatting a few times, Clem mustered the courage to ask Bao out on a sushi date. For the next month and a half, they spent time getting to know each other more by video chats, going on Target/Boba dates, visiting each other’s respective churches. This eventually led Clem to pursue a serious relationship with Bao. Since then, they enjoy singing in the car, taking peaceful walks, going on food adventures, thoughtful and theological conversations over coffee (Bao) and tea (Clem), and by God’s grace, seeking the Lord faithfully. On the morning of December 28th, the only day it did not rain that week, Clem led Bao the wrong way up to their final destination where he proposed to her at the most beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean, Garrapata State Park. On June 3rd, Bao and Clem will officially tie the knot in front of friends and family and take the next step in faith as a married couple.
