Barbara and Joe met at the gym. After months of making occasional small talk, Barbara finally realized that the "we" that Joe so often referred to ("we just moved in to an apartment in Waltham," "we saw the best movie last night"), was in fact his brother and sister-in-law, and not a girlfriend! Once Barbara found out that Joe was a single third-wheel to Tom and Sarah, Barbara and Joe started talking more and more. Before long, there were the post-workout Coronas on the steps outside Barbara's apartment, dinner dates over sushi, and, of course, rides on the motorcycle. The rest is history!

On Barbara's 30th birthday, just before friends started arriving at The Landing at Long Wharf for the party, Joe asked his sister-in-law Sarah to walk down Long Wharf with him and Barbara for a birthday photo. After a few pictures were taken, Joe said he wanted one more, and that was when he turned and got down on one knee and proposed! Barbara was thrilled and of course said yes!
