David and Becca have their first date at Provisions in Ames, IA. They met on Bumble while Becca was completing her clinical year at ISU College of Veterinary Medicine. It was supposed to be a coffee date, but they actually both got hot chocolate! (This photo was from when they revisited Provisions 2 years later - Becca would like it known that she is not weird enough to take a photo on a first date).

Fast forward one year later, they continued to date despite the COVID-19 pandemic. Becca has completed her training at ISU, graduated from RUSVM and moved to Cedar Rapids, IA for her new job. This begins the start of maintaining their long-distance relationship, taking turns driving 2 hours to each other on weekends.

Becca and David spend their first Christmas together in a cabin in WI when the pandemic made it difficult for families to gather for the holidays.

Becca has just passed her licensing exam and begins practicing veterinary medicine. David was a constant source of love and support throughout this process!

David takes Becca to Door County, WI for the holiday weekend to finally meet his family in person!

Visiting Rieman Gardens in Ames, IA - they have been in a long-distance relationship for one year now!

Starting the New Year with a board game. This is one of David's favorite past-times and now a favorite of Becca's as well.

Attended a production of Hamilton, their first time seeing a musical together - looking forward to attending more productions in the future!

Frolicking through fields of flowers. By this time, David had not-so-slyly asked what Becca's ring size was and he had already asked her parents' permission to marry her.

Tailgating for ISU football is something they look forward to every year! Little did Becca know, David had some pretty exciting plans for the following day.

David proposed, Becca said yes! Throwback to some of their early dates during COVID, they found out they enjoyed cooking for each other since going out to eat was not an option. David once offered to make curry for dinner and Becca joked she might propose if he made her Indian food. Fast forward a couple years, and he drops down to one knee after preparing curry and naan saying "now that I have made you Indian food, will you marry me?"

Becca brings David to St. Kitts for a veterinary conference to show him where she lived while attending RUSVM.

Becca and David have decided to move in together now that they are engaged. They begin apartment hunting after Becca finds a new job the Des Moines, IA area.

Becca and David celebrate signing a lease for their first place together by enjoying a round of golf! (aka David golfs and Becca gets to drive the cart)

Another year in Door Co. enjoying time with family! A bit of relaxation before the chaos of packing and moving begins.

Becca and David move into their new home in Ankeny, IA ready to start their life together and continue planning their wedding. Of course, David prepares curry as their first meal together in their new home!
