Beginning in high school and then into college at Texas A&M University, Matt and Becky have been running in the same social circles. However, it wasn’t until many years after college that the online dating website PlentyofFish.com would finally bring them together. It only took Matt’s first sentence to peak Becky’s interest “..Howdy! My name is Matt and I’m an Aggie Catholic.” It immediately checked off all of Becky’s criteria boxes and she decide that, at minimum, he was worth an initial date.

Their very first “meet-up” date for drinks was at Flying Saucer in Addison, TX. Which just happened to be the coldest night of the year. Following their first “meet-up” date, Matt and Becky would continue to go on several more formal dates as their conversations and interests in each other grew. Fun fact, Matt and Becky’s first “real date” was at Antonio’s Ristorante; which is only a few steps from where the reception venue is located!

Over the last year and a half, Matt and Becky have experienced many adventures together. From random last minute weekend trips to Denver, CO; to two trips to California; and most recently a trip to Michigan for a wedding of a co-worker she had never met in person. Matt and Becky both share a love of travel and exploring new places together. They have also taken to each other’s hobbies. Becky has converted Matt from a beer only drinker to a wine snob (we prefer the term wino) in less than a year. They have taken three wine specific trips (one to Fredericksburg, TX; one to Livermore, CA; and Napa, CA). Matt has also converted Becky to a sports fan (outside of just Aggie football). They regularly attend Stars hockey games in the fall; F.C. Dallas soccer games in the spring and summer; and when it’s not too hot, Ranger Baseball games.

As Matt and Becky’s relationship has grown, many important relationship mile-stones have occurred over a glass of wine or at wineries. Matt’s friends and family first found out about Becky at Homestead Winery in Grapevine, TX. Matt and Becky’s first solo day-long date was on Main Street in Grapevine, TX; where they visited several wineries including Messina Hof when they made their relationship official. During Matt and Becky’s first trip together to the Miller family lake house in Huntsville, TX; they picked up a random bottle of Taft Street Sauvignon Blanc and drank it on the deck overlooking the lake. Taft Street was the first white wine that Matt really liked and has since that time been one of his favorite wines. The first place Matt told Becky that he loved her was while drinking a glass of wine at Bingham Winery in Grapevine, TX; and Matt proposed to Becky during her dream trip to Napa Valley at Del Dotto Vineyards in April.

On April 27, 2019, Matt and Becky hope that you will join them in celebrating their Marriage and become part of the beginning, of the new chapter, of their story.
