The first time was the summer of 2020, when we were both working at a camp in Randolph, NJ. We noticed each other right away. Ben thought Becky was beautiful, and Becky thought Ben was cute, funny, and amazing with the kids. The only problem? Becky was technically Ben's boss, so making a move wasn't exactly an option.

Fast forward five months. Ben had just finished his master's degree, and Becky had completed her student teaching. By pure luck, we both started working at West Morris Mendham High School. On Becky's very first day, we ran into each other in the main office. Even behind masks, we recognized each other instantly and exchanged smiles. Becky's former assistant principal immediately picked up on the spark, pausing on her way out to say, "You two should talk more! You have so much in common!" We couldn't believe our boss was trying to set us up, but she was absolutely right!

Not long after, Ben asked Becky out on what turned out to be an accidental Valentine's Day date. Over pierogies at Home Made (which is now Patagonia Coffee House) in Hackettstown, the ease of conversation and instant connection made it clear that something real was beginning. Our second date only confirmed it. Becky had just landed her first full-time teaching job, and when Ben asked how she wanted to celebrate, she mentioned that the Met was her favorite place. His response? A text saying he'd already bought the tickets. What a guy!

Since then, our story has only grown...traveling abroad, moving in together, starting new jobs, celebrating milestones, supporting each other through tough days, cooking (or ordering in), hosting game nights, and spending time with loved ones. Friends often say we seem like we were meant to find each other, and we feel the same. We're both a little nerdy, endlessly curious, and care deeply about the people in our lives.

Now, we're getting married, and we can't wait to spend forever together.
