Both the ceremony and reception will be outdoors. The reception will be under a roof, but the ceremony will be at the mercy of Mother Nature. Mid-August in Minnesota is usually quite lovely! The average high is 79 degrees and we will have a 69% chance of clear skies. However, please prepare for things to get a bit hotter or cooler. We will do what we can to keep everyone comfortable. Ladies, also please note that the garden has a lot of grass and you may want to opt for thick heels, wedges, or flats over stilettos or skinny heels. In the case of a wash out, we will hold the ceremony at 6smith, but we are crossing our fingers that this will not be necessary!

Ample parking is available at both venues, however the parking lot at 6Smith tends to fill up quite readily, especially on Friday evenings. Valet is available at 6Smith. If parking in the 6Smith parking lot is filled, there are usually spots along Lake Street or in one of the ramps near by.

The reception venue is about 15 minute drive away from the ceremony location. We will not have shuttles between the two locations, but please let us know if you need assistance coordinating a ride.

We ask our guests to arrive in cocktail attire. We want our guests to look great but stay comfortable, so please consider the fact that we will be outside and perhaps opt for light colors and lightweight fabrics.

Hors d'eourves and drinks will be served upon our arrival at the reception, followed by a sit down dinner featuring meat, fish, and vegan options. Food will be served family style, so you are free to sample a little bit of everything!

We look forward to meeting our guests and officially becoming man and wife at Millennium Garden starting at 3 pm. Following the ceremony, we invite you to stay for a while and enjoy the garden and musical entertainment. We will have cocktails and appetizers at 6Smith starting around 4pm, with dinner and music to follow.
