On our day-date to New Bern, Tryon Palace was our first stop! New Bern is steeped in North Carolina history and Tryon Palace serves as the cornerstone for North Carolina's colonial government. It truly is the perfect introduction to the town!

As the birthplace of Pepsi-Cola, visiting the store on Middle Street is a must-do! Regardless if you are on Team Coca-Cola or not, when you step through the doors of the Pepsi Store you will be transported to a vintage drugstore soda fountain. Make sure to take a look at the museum before splitting a Pepsi float!

One of our favorite restaurants is nestled right in the heart of downtown New Bern! On our first trip to New Bern, Ben and I had lunch here. We shared a pizza and salad. We have since returned on several occasions!

After you have dined at Cypress Hall, stroll across the street to our favorite dessert shop! There you will find tasty ice creams, homemade chocolate treats, and more! You must try the double dipped dark chocolate peanuts. Yes - they are as good as they sound.
