Travel Check List

To make this process as easy as possible, Beth and Mitch have come up with a quick guide to make sure planning your vacation goes smoothly.

STEP 1: BOOK YOUR ROOM

We are working with Luxury Travel Boutique to arrange resort accommodations and airport transfers for our wedding guests. To attend our wedding events and enjoy a relaxing getaway, please book your room within our wedding group via the Reservation Form. All guests must be staying at this resort in order to attend the wedding. To book a room within our wedding group, a minimum 3-night stay is required. You can book your room via the Reservation Form for only $100 down. Please reserve your room and submit full payment on or before June 19th, 2024.

If you have any questions regarding travel, the best way to contact our dedicated travel agency Luxury Travel Boutique is via email at info@experienceluxetravel.com. Emails are addressed within one business day in most cases.

STEP 2: PASSPORT CHECK

Since this is an international trip, you do need a passport valid at least 6+ months past your travel dates. Passport cards are not valid for international air travel. If you have a passport, be sure to check the expiration date. If you don't already have a passport, it is a good idea to apply early to be sure you receive it in time for your trip. Passports normally take 4-6 weeks to process. We suggest applying a minimum of 4 months in advance as a precaution.

To apply for a new passport or update an expired passport visit Travel.State.Gov.

STEP 3: BOOK YOUR FLIGHT

Airfare is not included and will need to be booked on your own. You will fly into the Cancun International (CUN) airport. Once your flight is booked, Luxury Travel Boutique will need you to email them your flight information so they can coordinate your ground transfer from the airport to the resort.

It is recommended that you book your flights 2-8 months before departure.

We recommend using Google Flights or Hopper to monitor available flights and pricing. However, we encourage you to book directly on the airline's website to avoid added fees or misunderstandings with the airline. This is a great opportunity to use any travel points you may have!

STEP 4: PACK YOUR BAGS

Even if you are planning on checking a bag, it is always a good idea to bring a carry-on with all of the most important items that you would need to get you through a few days (from medication, to toiletries and swimwear).

Wedding Attire:

Beach Semi-Formal or Cocktail - anything you'd wear to a nice restaurant in the summer!

Tipping:

Your resort fee has built-in tips for the staff, so while you are not obligated to tip, we recommend to bring at least $100 per guest for tips. Typically tips ($1-$10) are encouraged to show appreciation for shuttle drivers, bartenders, waitstaff, cleaning staff, tour guides and spa staff.

Dining Attire:

Restaurants at the resort have dress codes that fall into 2 categories: Casual, or Casual Elegance. Please be sure to pack accordingly to experience all of the resort's dining options. See below for examples of acceptable wear:

Casual – Bermudas, long shorts, or capri pants. Sneakers, tennis shoes or sandals. No sleeveless shirts or bathing suits for men. Ladies must wear a swimsuit wrap or cover-up.

Casual Elegance – Sneakers, tennis shoes, or dress sandals. Dress shirts with short sleeves or collared shirts. Long pants required for men. No sleeveless shirts for men. No swimwear.

Beach towels:

The resort provides the guests with beach towels to use on property, therefore you do not have to pack any if you do not want to!

Suggested items to bring:

Sunscreen, aloe vera, bug spray, sunglasses, an insulated cup (with a reusable straw), a beach bag, water-proof bag for phone, multiple swimwear options.
