December 2021: We were just two friends who were spending countless hours talking on the phone or hanging out in person that made a spur of the moment decision to book a trip to Austin, Texas in the upcoming year.

March 2022: The new year brought new revelations and we both realized that we thoroughly enjoyed each other's company, so before we left for Austin, Texas, we decided to make it official.

2022 - 2023: The next two years brought many adventures including cruising in the Carribean with Heather and CJ, exploring Sarah P. Duke Gardens with Katie and Daniel, visiting family in Arizona and Florida, and hiking in Zion National Park with Linda.

February 24, 2024: What was presented as a day of hiking and taking a ferry to Southport, NC turned into a food tour of Wilmington, NC with Heather and CJ, introducing them to all things "gourmet" (grilled -cheese sandwiches and soft pretzels). When we made it to Fort Fisher, NC, we stopped for a photo opportunity around the iconic oak trees and then continued south to the Basin Trail. We had less than 30 minutes to hike 1.1 miles to see the old WWII bunker and observation deck overlooking the river. At one point into the hike, I turned around to see Timmy sprinting down the trail, there was no time to waste, as the park closed in 15 minutes and we hadn't made it to the observation deck for sunset. When I finally caught up to him, he was standing by the water telling me to come take a quick picture before we had to race back to the car. We took a quick picture and as I was walking away, I turned back to see him down on one knee. Now, he would say that I turned away and kept walking, but I was just stutter-stepping in shock.
