Like to hike?

- Purisma Creek and Wunderlich County Park offer beautiful but steep treks through majestic redwoods.

- The California Coastal Trail is a great option for those who want something flatter with ocean views.

Beach Day?

Hey, you're in California! But beware, the water is freezing.

Half Moon Bay: Poplar Beach, Wavecrest Beach, Miramar Beach.

Pacifica: Rockaway Beach, Pacifica Esplanade Ranch, Pacifica State Beach.

San Francisco: Ocean Beach, Baker Beach, Crissy Field.

Family Fun!

- Great America in Santa Clara is the nearest major amusement park. It's about 45 mins south of Half Moon Bay.

- Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk is another popular choice for rides and games. From Half Moon Bay, head south on Highway 1 for an hour.

If you're going to San Francisco....

- Enjoy a more leisurely stroll at Crissy Field or Golden Gate Park or a more challenging but breathtaking hike at Batteries to Bluffs in the Presidio.

- Have a burrito in the Mission! (We recommend Papalote, El Farolito or Taqueria Cancun).

- Enjoy delicious ramen, curry and sushi at Kaiju on Geary (where we've had many awesome date nights). Beth loves the takoyaki and Max loves their karaage yellow curry.

- Go to a Giants game! They're home August 12-15th against the Atlanta Braves.
