What time is the ceremony?
The ceremony will begin promptly at 4pm. Please arrive 15-20 minutes early to get into your seats and settle in.
What is the dress code?
We want you to be comfortable at our wedding. The dress code is dressy casual attire.
For this time of year in Minnesota may we suggest the following attire;
Women : dress, pantsuit, jumper, flats or wedge shoes for the outdoor ceremony on the lawn.
Men : Dress pants, a button up shirt, jacket and tie optional.
Please no white clothing or jeans. Men's white button up shirts are fine.
Is the venue easy to find?
Yes! You can plug North Star Farm into any GPS and the directions are accurate. Its located just off of MN 169. There will be plenty of signs directing you to the parking lot.
How is parking at the venue?
There is plenty of parking at Northstar Farms, and you are welcome to park there overnight. If you plan to stay at Hometown Inn however, you can park there and take the shuttle to and from the ceremony.
How far is the wedding venue from Minneapolis airport?
It's just under an hour drive from Minneapolis airport.
Are kids and plus ones welcome?
We have specified on your invite who is all welcome, which does include kids and plus ones in your specific party. If for some reason you feel like we've forgotten someone, please reach out and ask!
When is the RSVP deadline?
We kindly request RSVP no later than April 15th.
Are cellphones allowed during the ceremony?
No, we are doing an unplugged ceremony. There will be a moment before the ceremony begins for anyone to take pictures and then after that please put all phones away and enjoy the moment with us. Our photographers will be there to capture the ceremony.
Will there be a bar?
Yes, the drinks are on us; but the hangover is on you! We will be serving a variety of cocktails, beers, and wine. Tips are welcome! Please refrain from bringing any alcohol to the venue, and PLEASE don't drink and drive.
There will be shuttles leaving 3 times throughout the night to Hometown Inn.
What time does the wedding end?
The reception will end at 11 pm with the last shuttle leaving at 11:30pm.
Do you have a registry?
Yes we have a registy as well as a honeymoon fund, however your presence would be the greatest gift of all.
Will there be a meal for people with dietary restrictions?
Yes, on your invite please include any dietary restrictions. Examples include, vegetarian, vegan, gluten intolerance, lactose intolerance etc.
Is everything indoors or outdoors?
Ideally the ceremony will be outside, weather permitting and the reception will be indoors. There are also fire pits and yard games outside. MN weather can be unpredictable, having a jacket for the evening time would be a good idea.
How and when do I RSVP by?
Please use the QR code on your invitation to RSVP. Simply scan the code with your smart phone's camera, and it will take you directly to our RSVP page where you can easily let us know if you'll be joining us on our special day. If you have any questions about this please let us know. We ask all RSVPs to be in by April 15th. An RSVP is absolutely REQUIRED for everyone. It is essential in the planning for ceremony seating and reception meals. If we do not get an RSVP back by the date in which we have provided, it will be marked as a "no."
Are the reception and ceremony at the same location?
Yes, everything is located at North Star Farms.
How does the shuttle work?
Arrival:
You can leave your car at Hometown Inn before the wedding and the first shuttle departs at 3:20pm getting you to North Star Farms at 3:40pm.
Departure:
There will be multiple shuttles going throughout the night, 9 pm, 10pm and last one at 11:30 pm. Its free of charge, just look for the big yellow school bus.
